摘要: This disclosure presents an indicia reader equipped with two distinct imaging assemblies and a pair of mirrors, one of which is dichroic. This reader can generate both two-dimensional and three-dimensional image data. The dichroic mirror is designed to pass light in a specific wavelength range while reflecting light in another range, effectively directing different light towards the appropriate imaging assembly. This novel design enables efficient packaging of essential hardware, enhancing the reader's functionality for industries that require item tracking.

摘要: Systems and methods for object locationing to initiate an identification session are disclosed herein. An example method includes capturing, by a first imager of an imaging assembly, an image including image data of a target location at a checkout station. The example method further includes analyzing the image data to identify an object transportation apparatus positioned proximate to the target location, and determining, based on the image data, whether the object transportation apparatus is located within the target location. The example method further includes, responsive to determining that the object transportation apparatus is located within the target location, initiating, by a second imager of the imaging assembly, an identification session to verify that each object in the object transportation apparatus is included on a list of decoded indicia.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing customer initiated services to a mounted user interface device in a retail environment. At a user interface device, a customer scans an object missing a barcode or label, and the interface device connects to a remote customer service platform configured to detect the object and return to the interface device barcode data for the object, where a corresponding label is printed with the returned data. The user interface device may be automatically connected to a remote agent based on anonymized user data or based on scanned object data for providing particularly customized user services, such as explanations on how to use the object.

摘要: A method is disclosed for adjusting imaging parameters of a bioptic barcode reader. The method includes capturing, by an imaging assembly, an initial image of a target object having an indicia thereon. The imaging assembly captures the initial image according to an initial imaging parameter. The method further includes attempting to decode the indicia from the initial image, and responsive to being unable to decode the indicia, detecting a substantially static presence of the target object within a field of view (FOV) of the imaging assembly. The method then includes, responsive to detecting the substantially static presence of the target object within the FOV, adjusting the initial imaging parameter to a subsequent imaging parameter, wherein the subsequent imaging parameter is different than the initial imaging parameter.

摘要: A weigh platter assembly includes a weigh platter having a proximal edge and a lateral edge and an off-platter detection assembly. The off-platter detection assembly has an assembly field-of-view (field-of-view) extending from the proximal edge and constrained to have an assembly central field-of-view axis substantially parallel to the lateral edge and at least one lateral boundary substantially adjacent to the lateral edge. A light emission assembly has a light source and emits a light away from the proximal edge. A light detection assembly has a light sensor and detects at least a portion of the light reflected towards the proximal edge. A controller allows the measured weight to be recorded in response to a first value from the light detection assembly and prevents the measured weight from being recorded and/or provides an alert in response to a second value from the light detection assembly.
