摘要: An image display device includes circuitry configured to acquire, from a human body, three-dimensional image information on an inside of the human body including a biological tube using a plurality of ultrasonic sensors, specify a position, in the biological tube, where a width of a longitudinal cross-section of the biological tube is maximum using transverse cross-section information on the biological tube included in the three-dimensional image information, generate an image representing the longitudinal cross-section of the biological tube at the position specified, and output the image generated to a display.

摘要: A catheter having a lumen includes a tube, a sensor unit disposed at a distal end of the tube and capable of transmitting and receiving ultrasound, and an irradiation unit disposed at the distal end of the tube and capable of emitting the ultrasound toward a guide wire which passes through the lumen and protrudes from the distal end of the tube. The shape of the biological tissue can be observed by transmitting the ultrasound from the sensor units toward the biological tissue and receiving the reflection wave reflected by the biological tissue at the sensor units. Irradiating the guide wire with the ultrasound transmitted from the irradiation unit causes the guide wire to vibrate. The vibration of the guide wire can facilitate the passage through an occlusion site of the biological tissue.

摘要: A catheter having a proximal end portion having gaps between axially adjacent portions of an element wire where an inner layer is joined to an outer layer through the gaps; and a distal end portion where the axially adjacent portions of the element wire come into contact with each other, and a cavity is provided between the inner layer and a coil body. The catheter has excellent followability to a guide wire and is capable of efficiently transmitting a pushing force and/or rotational force from an operator to the distal end of the catheter.

摘要: A guide wire includes: a first core shaft made of a superelastic material, and a second core shaft made of a material more plastically deformable than the first core shaft and is joined to a distal end portion of the first core shaft. On the distal end portion to which the second core shaft is joined in the first core shaft, breaking elongation attributed to a tensile load is shorter compared to portions on a proximal end side with respect to the distal end portion.
