    摘要: The invention is related to particle induced radiography system, comprising a particle radiation source device, implant module, external detector device, central module and other controls, in which the implant module comprises active and/or passive components in tandem with the readout electronics and communication chosen to measure the beam properties and to generate and detect secondary gamma photons from the nuclear interactions, the external detector device provides a position sensitive gamma detector with a high detection efficiency, good spatial resolution and a relatively large field of view necessary for particle treatments useful in monitoring both the implanted device and the patient anatomical areas under treatment, and the external detector device can also be used to perform 3D spectral imaging on any material samples using proton beam as a probe.

    摘要: A harmonic light-generating metasurface includes a base substrate and a plurality of structures, that include nonlinear material, that are disposed in a pattern on a surface of the base substrate. Each structure of the plurality of structures individually supports a magnetic dipole mode. An electromagnetic field enhancement of the magnetic dipole mode induces generation of a harmonic signal by the plurality of structures. Alternatively, a harmonic light-generating metasurface, includes a base substrate, a supporting substrate that includes a nonlinear material, and a plurality of paired structures disposed in a pattern on a surface of the supporting substrate. Each paired structure, of the plurality of paired structures, collectively supports a toroidal dipole mode. An electromagnetic field enhancement of the toroidal dipole mode penetrates the supporting substrate to induce generation of a harmonic signal by the supporting substrate.

    摘要: A carrier system that includes a nanocarrier and a peptide non-covalently associated with the nanocarrier. The peptide contains an adaptor peptide sequence fused to the N-terminus of a target peptide, the adaptor peptide sequence being designed to facilitate the association to the nanocarrier. Also disclosed is a method for improving the immunogenicity of a peptide antigen by fusing it to an adaptor peptide sequence to form an immunizing peptide and contacting the immunizing peptide with a compatible nanocarrier. Further, a method is provided for treating a condition by immunization with a target peptide that has been fused to an adaptor peptide sequence and thereby associated with a nanocarrier. The method induces an immune response against the target peptide for treating cancer, viral infection, bacterial infection, parasitic infection, autoimmunity, or undesired immune responses to a biologies treatment.

    摘要: Provided is a chimeric hemagglutinin (HA) protein including an HA1 subunit and an HA2 subunit, in which the HA1 subunit is composed of a first domain derived from a parental HA1 subunit of a first subtype influenza virus and a second domain derived from a parental HA1 subunit of a second subtype influenza virus. The chimeric HA protein has improved thermal stability and can be used in a vaccine composition for preventing influenza virus infection. Also provided is a method of inducing an immune response against an influenza virus in a subject in need thereof that includes administering the chimeric HA protein to the subject, thereby conferring protection against the influenza virus infection on the subject.
