摘要: Provided herein are systems and methods for determining relationships between events occurring in networks. Notifications describing events occurring in networks can be received and processed to determine groups of network event types. A root-cause network can be generated based on the events, with the nodes of the root-cause network representing different event types and the edges of the root-cause network indicating directional, causal relationships between the nodes. A received network event can be processed to determine potential causes of the received network event based on the root-cause network and other events received by the network.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for monitoring health of each switch of a plurality of switches on a network by selectively mirroring packets transmitted by each switch of the plurality of switches. In some embodiments, control circuitry generates a plurality of mirroring parameters, each mirroring parameter comprising an instruction to mirror a respective type of packet. The control circuitry transmits the plurality of mirroring parameters to each switch of the plurality of switches on the network, and receives, from a switch, a packet that was mirrored by the switch according to a mirroring parameter of the plurality of mirroring parameters. The control circuitry determines the respective type of the packet, executes an analysis of contents of the packet based on the respective type of the packet, and determines a health of the switch based on results of the analysis.

摘要: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for providing an anomaly detection system. Some aspects of this disclosure include a method for detecting anomaly in a network device. The method includes determining one or more similarity values between a flow vector corresponding to a flow associated with the network device and one or more flow clusters associated with the network device. The method further includes determining a maximum similarity value as a maximum of the one or more similarity values and comparing the maximum similarity value to a threshold. The method also includes, in response to the maximum similarity value being equal to or greater than the threshold, updating a flow cluster associated with the maximum similarity value. The method also includes, in response to the maximum similarity measure being less than the threshold, detecting the anomaly in the network device.

摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure provide a suitable architecture for a router controller which configures forwarding rules in a packet router of a network visibility system. In an embodiment, the router controller contains multiple controller blocks, with each controller block to examine a corresponding set of packets and to generate a respective set of forwarding rules for configuring the packet router. The router controller may also contain a switch to receive multiple packets and to forward to each controller block the corresponding set of packets. Each controller block may forward the respective set of forwarding rules to the switch, with the switch in turn configuring the packet router with the respective set of forwarding rules.

摘要: Systems, methods, and apparatuses are disclosed herein for automatically assigning nicknames in a SPBM network. In some aspects, a first switch of a plurality of switches in the SPBM network is detected as being designated as responsible for assigning nicknames to the plurality of switches. Control circuitry responsively instantiates, at the nick name server, a DHCP service. The control circuitry detects, at the nickname server, a respective other switch of the plurality of switches in the SPBM network, and responsively assigns, using the DHCP service, a respective IP address for the respective other switch. A host portion of the respective IP address is assigned as the nickname for the respective other switch.

摘要: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for representing a forwarding information base (FIB) in a database. An embodiment operates by organizing forwarding entries of the FIB in a trie data structure. The embodiment determines that a first routing prefix of a first forwarding entry in the trie data structure is a less specific routing prefix than a second routing prefix in a second forwarding entry in the trie data structure based on the first forwarding entry being a parent of the second forwarding entry. The embodiment determines that a first next hop of the first routing prefix is equal to a second next hop of the second routing prefix. The embodiment removes the second forwarding entry from the trie data structure. The embodiment then inserts the first forwarding entry into the database based on a prefix length of the first routing prefix.
