摘要: A method of determining a presence of suction in a patient having an implantable blood pump from down-sampled log files. The method comprising calculating a waveform index for each of a plurality of flow rate data points from the down-sampled log files. The calculated waveform index is compared with a predetermined waveform index threshold. A non-suction trough baseline is calculated from the plurality of flow rate data points. A difference between a measured trough and a calculated non-suction trough baseline is compared with a predetermined threshold. The presence of suction for each of the plurality of flow rate data points is determined if the calculated waveform index is greater than the predetermined waveform index threshold and the difference between the measured trough and a calculated non-suction trough baseline is greater than the predetermined threshold.

摘要: A method of controlling a blood pump having a predefined hydraulic performance including at least from the group consisting of estimating and measuring an instantaneous flow rate during operation of the blood pump at a predetermined rotational speed of an impeller of the blood pump, the instantaneous flow rate including a plurality of flow rate data points. The plurality of flow rate data points define a trajectory around at least one from the group consisting of an operational point of a predefined pressure-flow curve associated with the predetermined rotational speed of the impeller of the blood pump and a target operational point of a target pressure-flow curve different than the predefined pressure-flow curve. The predetermined rotational speed of the impeller is adjusted until the plurality of flow rate data points define a predetermined trajectory around at least one of the operational point and the target operational point.

摘要: A method of determining adverse events from log file data from operation of an implantable blood pump. The method includes measuring a flow pulsatility from flow rate data recorded in a log file. A moving mean of the measured flow pulsatility is calculated. A moving standard deviation of the measured flow pulsatility is calculated. A difference between the moving mean of the measured pulsatility and the moving standard deviation of the measured flow pulsatility is calculated. If the difference is less than a first predetermined threshold, an alert is generated as the presence of an adverse event.

摘要: A dry disconnect device including a first portion defining an outlet and an outlet portion of a fluid pathway and a female valve disposed within the first portion having an extended position, including the female valve being configured to seal the outlet portion, and a retracted position. The extended position of the male valve causes the female valve to transition from the extended position to the retracted position and causes the outlet portion and the inlet portion of the fluid pathway to be in fluid communication with each other.

摘要: The present disclosure provides for methods and systems for determining heart rate of a patient. Based on motor current signals of a ventricular assist device (VAD), each of first, second and third events in the measured current signal may be detected, the first event being indicative of a rise or fall in the current signal, the second event being indicative of a rise or fall in the current signal in the opposite direction as the first event, and the third event being indicative of a rise or fall in the current signal in the same direction as the first event. A timer counter may be initiated upon detection of the first event, and an elapsed time may be measured upon detection of the third event. Heart rate may be determined based on the elapsed time of the timer counter.
