摘要: In one embodiment, the present invention includes a method for securing tissue to bone, including drilling a bone hole into the bone; passing a filament through the tissue, the filament including a first end, a second end and a length therebetween, the second end having a loop; passing the first end of the filament through the loop of the filament; pulling on the first end of the filament such that the loop travels along the length of the filament and to the tissue; passing an anchor along the length of the filament, from the first end towards the loop and tissue; engaging the loop with a distal end of the anchor; positioning the distal end of the anchor, with the loop of the filament, into the bone hole; and securing the anchor in the bone.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for measuring a tibia varus or valgus angle via a surgically implanted measurement device. An exemplary method may include: receiving, via at least one processor, first data from the measurement device, wherein: a housing of the measurement device is coupled to a musculoskeletal system of a patient; and the first data includes a plurality of measurements from each of an accelerometer and a gyroscope included with an inertial measurement unit disposed within the housing; receiving, via the at least one processor, a first measurement of an anatomical feature of a leg of the patient; determining the tibia varus or valgus angle based on the first measurement; and causing a display to output the determined tibia varus or valgus angle. In some embodiments, instructions for implementing the method may be stored on a non-transitory computer readable medium.

摘要: In one embodiment, the present disclosure relates to an acetabular cup for implantation into a prepared acetabulum. The acetabular cup includes an inner surface, an outer surface, and an end face that separates the inner surface and the outer surface. The end face is opposite a polar region of the acetabular cup and circumscribes an open end of the acetabular cup. A plurality of protrusions project outwardly from the outer surface at predefined locations. The acetabular cup is operatively engaged to the prepared acetabulum in a planned orientation when the plurality of protrusions are received in corresponding predefined recesses in the prepared acetabulum.

摘要: A shoulder assembly is provided which includes a base member including a collar; a helical structure extending from the collar in a distal direction; and a first pathway projecting distally of the collar and through the helical structure adjacent to an inner periphery thereof, the first pathway being generally transverse to the helical structure and extending in a space between successive portions of the helical structure; and a locking device comprising a proximal support and a first arm projecting distally of the proximal support, the first arm configured to be disposed in the first pathway projecting distally of the collar when the proximal support is disposed adjacent to the collar; where the first arm is disposed through bone in the space between successive portions of the helical structure when the shoulder assembly is implanted.

摘要: An orthopedic measurement system is disclosed to measure leg alignment. The measurement system includes a tri-axial gyroscope configured to measure movement of a leg. The gyroscope is coupled to a tibia of the leg. For example, the gyroscope can be placed in an insert or tibial prosthetic component that couples to the tibia. The gyroscope is used to measure alignment relative to the mechanical axis of the leg. The leg alignment measurement is performed by putting the leg through a first leg movement and a second leg movement. The gyroscope outputs angular velocities on the axes the sensor is rotated about. The gyroscope is coupled to a computer that calculates the alignment of the leg relative to the mechanical axis from the gyroscope measurement data.

摘要: A method of generating a correction plan for a knee of a patient includes obtaining a ratio of reference bone density to reference ligament tension in a reference population. A bone of the knee of the patient may be imaged. From the image of the bone, a first dataset may be determined including at least one site of ligament attachment and existing dwell points of a medial femoral condyle and lateral femoral condyle of the patient on a tibia of the patient. Desired positions of contact in three dimensions of the femoral condyles of the patient with the tibia of the patient may be obtained by determining a relationship in which a ratio of bone density to ligament tension of the patient is substantially equal to the ratio of reference bone density to reference ligament tension.

摘要: A surgical apparatus configured to be placed in the musculoskeletal system to precisely separate a first bone from a second bone. The surgical apparatus has one or more sensors to measure one or more parameters and supports one or more bone cuts for installing a prosthetic component. The surgical apparatus has three distraction mechanisms configured to increase or decrease a height between a first support structure and a second support structure. The tilt mechanism adjusts the tilt between the first support structure relative to the second support structure. The tilt mechanism of the surgical apparatus is adjusted from a first tilt to a second tilt to support a bone cut on one of the first or second bones.
