摘要: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a dry-type lubricant for use in a dry product hopper to help improve dry product flow and to improve anti-jamming properties of the dry product. The example lubricant can comprise a hydrophilic fiber, such as cellulose, having a width to length aspect ratio that provides a thin fiber. A plurality of hydrophobic particles are deposited on the surface of the fiber, resulting in a fiber surface exhibiting amphiphobic properties. Further, the fiber can operably absorb water, and then releases the absorbed water to the surface of the fiber under mechanical stress, such as when mixed with a product in a hopper. This can result in the water being disposed on the surface of the fiber, to provide lubrication to a product in a hopper to improve flow and anti-jamming characteristics of the product in the hopper.

摘要: A method of conversion of thioimidates into amidines includes reacting a starting material compound including a thioimidate with a nitrogen-containing reagent to form a product compound including an amidine in place of the thioimidate in the starting material compound. The nitrogen-containing reagent includes a primary amine, a secondary amine, an ammonium salt, or a combination thereof. The thioimidate includes —S—R1, wherein R1 is substituted or unsubstituted (C1-C20)hydrocarbyl. A method of forming a cyclized product includes intramolecularly reacting an amidine with a carbonyl carbon to form the cyclized product including a 4H-imidazolone and/or a derivative thereof.

摘要: An apparatus, method, and system for post-processing a printed graphene ink pattern or other deposition on a substrate. A pulsed UV laser is tunable between various energy densities to selectively modify the printed ink or deposition in electrical or physical properties. In one example, radical improvements in electrical conductivity are achieved. In another example, controlled transformation from essentially 2D printed or deposited graphene to surface topology of 3D nanostructures are achieved. The 3D structures are beneficial in such applications as electrochemical sensors of different types and characteristics. In another example, hydrophobicity of the printed or deposited graphene can be manipulated starting from a hydrophilic to super hydrophobic surface.

摘要: This patent document provides a caged catalyst comprising a catalyst encapsulated in a cage compound of Formula I represented [ZrIV6O4(OI)4(linker)6]). The catalysts demonstrated excellent activities and size selectivity in a model RCM reaction, suggesting successful encapsulation into MOFs. ROMP of cyclopentene mediated by G3@UiO-67 achieved significantly higher molecular weight and lower dispersity than the counterpart mediated by the free catalyst. The ultra-high molecular weight polymers generated by the encapsulated catalysts demonstrated significantly improved mechanical and adhesive properties compared to the low molecular weight counterparts and commercial polymers. The simplicity and generality make this method readily applicable to the ROMP of a wide range of low-strain cyclic olefins.

摘要: One aspect of the present application relates to a method of synthesizing a thermoplastic polymer. This method includes providing a depolymerized lignin product comprising monomers and oligomers and producing lignin (meth)acrylate monomers and oligomers from the depolymerized lignin product. A thermoplastic lignin (meth)acrylate polymer is then formed by free radical polymerization of the lignin (meth)acrylate monomers and oligomers. The present application also relates to a branched chain thermoplastic lignin (meth)acrylate polymer which includes a chain transfer agent. The thermoplastic lignin based polymers of the present application can be used to prepare carbon fibers, and engineering thermoplastics. Mixtures of lignin (meth)acrylate monomers and oligomers are also disclosed.
