    摘要: Provided are: a main memory 14 that stores image data, a peripheral region 44 being set to a certain value; and a CPU 12 that performs tonal steps conversion processing on the image data. The CPU 12 includes: a plurality of cores 16 that have a parallel processing function due to a plurality of threads 18 and that execute the tonal steps conversion processing in parallel; and a data cache memory 22 and program cache memory 20 that are provided corresponding to each of the plurality of threads 18. The core 16 specifies a region smaller than a size of the data cache memory 22, of the image data as an operand region 48, and causes the image data corresponding to said operand region 48 to be acquired from the main memory 14 into the data cache memory 22 and executes the tonal steps conversion processing on said operand region 48 without distinction of a central region 42 and the peripheral region 44.

    摘要: Provided is a newspaper production apparatus which can make the processing mechanisms after digital printing small-scaled and which can quite easily obtain a favorably stacked state of sheets. The newspaper production apparatus includes: a paper feeding unit which feeds a continuous paper; ink jet printing units; and a folding unit which cuts and folds the continuous paper after being printed. The folding unit is configured as a rotary folding unit provided with a folding cylinder including: a retaining mechanism which retains a sheet on an outer circumferential surface of the folding cylinder; and a folding blade mechanism which projects the retained sheet radially outward. The rotary folding unit is capable of collect run by which sheets retained by the retaining mechanism are folded at each plural number of turns of the folding cylinder.

    摘要: A paper roll mounting device, configured to enable a paper roll to be supported by a paper roll supporting means provided to each arm of pairs of arms by rotary-driving a female screw member to individually move each arm in a direction parallel to a rotating shaft, is provided with: a female screw rotation amount signal output means provided to output a rotation amount signal corresponding to a rotation amount of the respective female screw member, individually on a female screw member basis, in response to rotation of the female screw member; and an arm stop position control unit configured to enable setting of a reference position for each of the arms, and, when changing a position of each of the arms in an axis direction of the rotating shaft, to enable input designation of a stop position of each of the arms, and to detect a current position of the arms with respect to the reference position by calculating a movement amount of the arms based on the rotation amount signal, and thereby move each of the arms to the designated stop position and cause each of the arms to stop at the designated stop position. This makes each of the arms stoppable at a desired position in the direction parallel to the rotating shaft.

This makes each of the arms stoppable at a desired position in the direction parallel to the rotating shaft.

    摘要: An ink receiving device C for an ink jet printer includes: an ink receptacle which receives ink discharged from nozzles of ink jet heads; and a support member which supports the ink receptacle in a manner to enable the ink receptacle to move horizontally. The ink receptacle is enabled by the support member to move horizontally to three positions including: a standby position at which the ink receptacle does not disturb the ink jet heads from printing on a print medium; an ink receiving position which is below the ink discharging surfaces of the ink jet heads and at which the ink receptacle receives ink discharged for a purpose other than printing; and a maintenance position which is different from the ink receiving position and the standby position and at which a maintenance work of the ink receptacle is performed.
