The shovel includes an attachment mechanism attached to the shaft at the distal end. The attachment mechanism includes: a housing having an upper portion and a lower portion; and a triggering mechanism located within the housing. The triggering mechanism includes: a hammer spring and a hammer located in the upper portion of the housing, the top portion of the hammer abutting the hammer spring, and the bottom portion of the hammer including a recess. The triggering mechanism also includes a punch pin located in the bottom portion of the housing, the top of the punch pin contacting the bottom of the hammer adjacent to the recess. The triggering mechanism further includes a punch pin spring coiled around the punch pin.

摘要： A freezing desalination method includes cooling salt water in a first chamber with a conductive interface having a thermoelectric cooler (TEC). The conductive interface separates the first chamber from the second chamber containing fresh water. The method further includes reversing a current supplied to the conductive interface by a power source, when ice forms on the conductive interface, thereby allowing the ice to detach from the conductive interface. The ice formed in the first chamber is moved to the second chamber with a moving mechanism thereby melting the ice in the second chamber.

摘要： The method for tuning the magnetic behavior of soft magnetic nanowires includes forming a pair of defects at axially-opposed ends of the nanowire. The defects change the switching field of the nanowire. As demonstrated by Object-Oriented MicroMagnetic Framework (OOMMF) simulation, the switching field value of the nanowire modified by a pair of defects at the two axially-opposed ends of the nanowire is more than the switching field value of a defect-free nanowire. The defect at each end may be a notch or an anti-notch.

In an embodiment, the receiver system includes a plurality of receiver panels, a tower supporting the plurality of receiver panels in a configuration to receive solar irradiation, and a hopper forming a slot configured to dispose the particles at a given location on to the porous structure. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

摘要： A fog and rain collector includes a number of mesh panels and a mesh roof panel for collection of fog and rain. The mesh panels used for fog collection may be concave-shaped for greater surface area and increased fog collection. The upper edges of the mesh panels may be arranged in a polygon shape allowing for the collection of fog from all directions. The mesh panels may be mounted on support posts and a trough may be mounted beneath the mesh panels for collection of rain and fog condensate. A dustproof drain is mounted on the trough and connected to a first piping section which moves the water from the trough to a filter and then through a second piping section to a water container for storage. Support posts may used for mounting the mesh panels as well as mounting plates fasted to a surface by screws.
