摘要: A method and system to perform region-of-interest (ROI) reconstruction is provided, even if the original projection data are truncated. The reconstruction is performed on a superset of the ROI, including the ROI as well as other areas which are outside the scan field-of-view of the imaging system but still within the imaging bore.

摘要: A risk assessment input terminal (10) displays a risk assessment template (FIG. 2) through which risk assessment information is entered of each of a plurality of patients. A care plan processor (12) assembles intervention or goal modules from a module memory (14) into care plans for the patients which are stored in a patient file memory (16). Portions of a patient's care plan that are to be delivered to a patient each day are supplied over an electronic network (22) to a patient terminal (24) for display. Some of the modules also call for tasks to be performed. The tasks to be performed each day are retrieved by a work flow processor (30) and delivered to a plurality of care professional workstations (32). Care plan professionals complete the open tasks or transfer open tasks to another care professional and close the completed tasks. A report generator (70) generates various reports.

摘要: To provide a rear projection system, which offers a high transparency and a high efficiency of projection, a rear projection system is proposed, comprising: a projector (18), and a projection screen (16) being switchable between a transparent mode and a diffractive mode, wherein the projector (18) is located with respect to the projection screen (16) such that light from the projector (18) is incident at an inclined angle at the rear side of the projection screen (16), the projection screen (16) is adapted to deflect in its diffractive mode the incident light into a limited angle range with respect to the front surface normal of the screen (16).

摘要: The present invention relates to an apparatus for producing a corrected image of a region of interest from acquired projection data (60), wherein an uncorrected intermediate image (74) is reconstructed. The uncorrected intermediate image (74) is corrected and image elements of the corrected intermediate image (85) are classified. Image elements of the corrected 5 intermediate image (85) that are of a high density or low density class are replaced by image elements having values depending on values of the low density class to generate a synthetic image (90). Synthetic projection data (96) are generated by forward projecting the synthetic image (90), and acquired projection data contributing to the high density class are replaced by corresponding synthetic projection data (96) to generate corrected projection data (112). 10 The corrected projection data (112) are used for reconstructing the corrected image.

摘要: A computer assisted therapy apparatus (100) uses data from functional medical imaging examinations of a patient to evaluate the response of a patient to an applied therapy. A lesion tracker (112) tracks lesion(s) detected in the medical imaging examinations, and a lesion quantifier (114) generates quantitative information indicative of functional characteristic of the lesion(s). A trend analyzer (116) uses the quantitative information to determine trends in the functional characteristic.

摘要: The invention relates to an electronic appliance (1), provided with a cooling assembly (10) for cooling a module (4) that during use can be inserted in the appliance (1) by a consumer. The cooling assembly (10) comprises a cooling body (12) and sliding means (8A, 8B). The sliding means are arranged to engage the module with a low frictional contact surface, so as to facilitate insertion of the module. The sliding means are furthermore arranged to form a thermally conductive bridge between the module and the cooling body. At least one of the cooling body and the sliding means is resiliently deflectable, thereby allowing the sliding means to be pushed out of the way by the module, when this module is being inserted or removed.

摘要: A radiation detector (24) includes a two-dimensional array of upper scintillators (30τ) which is disposed facing an x-ray source (14) to convert lower energy radiation events into visible light and transmit higher energy radiation. A two-dimensional array of lower scintillators (30B) is disposed adjacent the upper scintillators (30τ) distally from the x-ray source (14) to convert the transmitted higher energy radiation into visible light. Upper and lower photodetectors (38τ, 30B) are optically coupled to the respective upper and lower scintillators (30τ,30B) at an inner side (60) of the scintillators (30τ,30B). An optical element (100) is optically coupled with the upper scintillators (30τ) to collect and channel the light from the upper scintillators (30τ) into corresponding upper photodetectors (38τ).
