摘要： A crate is configured for blind-stacking on an adjacent crate with side walls. The crate may include a bottom panel, end walls extending from the bottom panel, and side walls extending from the bottom panel and connected between the end walls. The side walls include a stacking rim on a top surface. The bottom panel may include guide ribs under the side walls, respectively, and positioned adjacent a forward end of the crate. The guide ribs may be sized and shaped to positively engage the side walls of the adjacent crate, and the guide ribs may be configured to prevent the side walls of the adjacent crate from deflecting outward under load. The crate facilitates blind-stacking and helps to minimize the effort for an operator to handle heavier loads.

摘要： A bakery tray includes a base member with a front end and a back end, and a pair of sidewalls extending upward from the base member and opposing each other between the front end and the back end of the base member. The sidewalls each have a pair of stacking blocks and a top rail with a pair of low stack recesses therein. The pair of stacking blocks includes a front block positioned a first distance from the front end and a rear block positioned a second distance from the back end. The pair of low stack recesses includes a front recess spaced from the front end by a distance corresponding to the second distance and a rear recess spaced from the back end by a distance corresponding to the first distance. By this structure, bakery trays are stackable in a low stack orientation and a high stack orientation.

摘要： A hinge assembly incorporates a substantially straight hinge pin for securing a lid to a container. At least one end of a hinge line is initially closed via a plastic wall. The substantially straight hinge pin is secured in the hinge line via passing the hinge pin through the plastic wall. Subsequently, residual axial and radial stresses caused by passing the hinge pin through the wall cause the opening to contract, thereby retaining the pin. By providing a hinge assembly including a substantially straight hinge pin, the assembly process can be more easily automated.

摘要： A collapsible plastic container includes a top perimeter, a bottom and a plurality of sidewalls formed in a generally rectangular configuration. At least one of the sidewalls is pivotable between a collapsed position and an opened position. An engaging portion of the pivotable sidewall includes a first opening therein, which is disposed adjacent a receiving portion of either the top perimeter and the bottom including a second opening therein in the opened position. The first and second openings are relatively positioned such that they are aligned when the pivotable sidewall is in its opened position. A locking lug is positioned such that it is extendible into the aligned openings of an adjacent container when the container and the adjacent container are in a stacked arrangement. A lid may also be provided including a second locking lug. The structure ensures that the sidewalls are securely held in their vertical position to thereby ensure that the container will bear its maximum load. Additionally, the locking lugs prevent the sides from being pushed in when the containers are stacked or closed to thereby provide added security.

摘要： An inexpensive poultry watering system allows water to be supplied under very low pressure (e.g. a 2 inch head) to nipples or similar water dispensers, without the use of a regulator. Relatively high pressure water is fed into a float box, with a float valve assembly in the box valving the water as it flows into the float box, to establish a level of water in the box. An outlet opening from the box is connected to an elongated (e.g. 8 foot-10 foot) conduit which has the nipples, or other water dispensers, spaced along it. The conduit is suspended by conventional hangers, The float box needs no additional support, being connected to the conduit by a short pipe section and collar. A ballast/support pipe may be mounted above the conduit. The plastic float box has an anti-roost ridge at the apex of its top, and its bottom is sloped from the inlet toward the outlet.

摘要： A poultry drinker includes a headless bell with a replaceable cartridge assembly for operatively attaching the bell to a conventional valve and a stand or a ballast. A flat annular support surface at the headless top of the bell cooperates with an annular support surface of the cartridge assembly, and a nut engages external threads on a tubular body of the cartridge assembly to clamp the bell annular support between itself and the cartridge annular support. An internal shelf in the cartridge to operate the valve, water passage openings are formed in the tube above the shelf, and the tubular body is connected to the valve by threads or the like. A flange radially extending from the cartridge adjacent the cartridge annular support is received by a cutout in the bell annular support to prevent rotation between the bell and cartridge. A screw-threaded post operatively attached to the shelf and extending through the cartridge annular support member provides attachment to the stand or ballast member.
