摘要: A display assembly, communications box, and related methods are disclosed. A display assembly includes an electronic display subassembly attached to a mounting structure. A communications box attached to the mounting structure has an interior space for electronic equipment which is located above, and spaced apart from, the electronic display subassembly. A gas permeable fabric panel of the communications box occupies at least a majority of a side of the communications box and is gas permeable, such as to allow airflow to electronics contained therein.

摘要: A display assembly with cooling pathways includes a housing for an electronic display and a closed, continuous airflow pathway. Partition(s) located within the housing partially separate an equipment storage area for electronic equipment from the continuous airflow pathway. The partition(s) define, at least in part, a sub-pathway within, but separated from, the closed, continuous airflow pathway. Fan(s), when activated, cause a portion of a flow of circulating gas traveling through the closed, continuous airflow pathway to leave the same and instead travel through the sub-pathway pathway while a remainder of the flow continues through the closed, continuous airflow pathway, before rejoining the closed, continuous airflow pathway.

摘要: Electronic display assemblies are disclosed which include a housing having an intake and an exhaust, an electronic display located within the housing, a first airflow pathway fluidly connected to an ambient environment and extending through the housing between the intake and the exhaust, a first portion of which extends proximate to a rear surface of the electronic display and a second portion of which extends rearward of, and is spaced apart from, the rear surface of the electronic display. A second airflow pathway is separated from the first airflow pathway and forms a closed, continuous pathway within the housing. At least a portion of the second airflow pathway is located rearward of the electronic display. One or more electronic assemblies for operating the electronic display assembly are located within the portion of the second airflow pathway located rearward of the electronic display.

摘要: A method for cooling a display assembly includes forcibly circulating gas about an airflow pathway extending within a housing and extending along opposing sides of an image assembly is provided. Ambient air is ingested into the housing through an intake, passed within the housing in a manner which provides thermal interaction with the circulating gas in said airflow pathway, and exhausted from the housing through an exhaust to change a temperature of the circulating gas.

Some or all electronic components for operating the electronic display assembly are located within the second airflow pathway, such as to at least partially isolate such electronics from dust or other containments in ambient air.

摘要: A display assembly for preventing delamination of electronic display layers includes an electronic display subassembly at a structural framework having multiple optical layers and/or films (“the layers”). A first passageway is located between a cover forward of the electronic display subassembly and a forward one of the layers. A second passageway is located rearward of the layers. A third passageway is fluidly connected to an entrance and an exit of each of the first and second passageways. The first, second, and third passageways define, at least in part, a continuous airflow pathway. A fan unit positioned proximate to the entrance to each of the first and second passageways moves gas through the continuous airflow pathway, including into the first and second passageways in a same primary direction to generate compressive forces at the layers.

The controller receives orientation data from the orientation detection device, determines a baseline orientation of the display unit, and where a subsequently detected orientation is not within a predetermined margin of the baseline orientation, electronically generates an alert.
