摘要: A glass composition is provided that includes about 57.0 to 62.0% by weight SiO2, about 20.0 to 25.0% by weight Al2O3, about 8.0 to 12.5% by weight MgO, about 7 to 9.0% by weight CaO, about 0.4 to 1.0% by weight Li2O, 0.0 to about 1.0% by weight Na2O, about 0 to 0.5% by weight K2O; and 0.2 to about 1.5% by weight TiO2. The glass composition has a fiberizing temperature of no greater than about 1,300 C. Such applications include woven fabrics for use in forming wind blades and aerospace structures.

摘要: An insulation product is disclosed that includes a plurality of glass fibers and a cross-linked formaldehyde-free binder composition at least partially coating the glass fibers. The glass fibers have an average fiber diameter in the range of 8 HT (2.03 μm) to 15 HT (3.81 μm). The insulation product is structured such that at least 30% by weight of the glass fibers in the insulation product are oriented within +/−15° of a common plane defined by a length and width of the insulation product. The insulation product has a density, when uncompressed, between 0.2 pcf and 1.6 pcf.

摘要: A cross-linked nonwoven fibrous mat is disclosed comprising a core layer including a fibrous precursor mat bound with a formaldehyde-free core binder composition and a cross-linker disposed on at least one surface of the core layer, said cross-linker comprising one or more of isocyanate, polyol, and melamine functional groups. 摘要: A composition and method for making extruded polystyrene (XPS) foam is provided. The composition includes an infrared attenuation agent composition comprising conductive polymers to achieve an XPS foam having an improved thermal insulation performance. In some exemplary embodiments, the conductive polymers comprise doped polypyrrole and doped polyaniline. In some exemplary embodiments, the XPS foam includes a carbon dioxide-based blowing agent.
