摘要： Methods for generating a look-up table relating a plurality of complex reflection coefficients to a plurality of matched states for a tunable matching network. Typical steps include measuring a plurality of complex reflection coefficients resulting from a plurality of impedance loads while the tunable matching network is in a predetermined state, determining a plurality of matched states for the plurality of impedance loads, with a matched state determined for each of the plurality of impedance loads and providing the determined matched states as a look-up table. A further step is interpolating the measured complex reflection coefficients and the determined matching states into a set of complex reflection coefficients with predetermined step sizes.

摘要： A tunable matching circuit is adjusted primarily based on transmitter oriented metrics and is then applied to attain a desired tuning for transmitter and receiver operation. In a TDM system, this is accomplished by identifying an optimal tuning for the transmitter and then applying an empirically derived adjustment to the tuning circuit in receiver mode. In an FDM system, this is accomplished by identifying a target operation that is a compromise between transmitter performance and receiver performance, and then adjusting the tuning circuit as a function of transmitter metrics and the current tuning values to achieve the desired compromised performance.

摘要： In accordance with the teachings described herein, a method for fabricating a patterned polysilicon layer having a planar surface may include the steps of: depositing a polysilicon film above a substrate material; depositing an oxide-resistant mask over the polysilicon film; patterning and etching the oxide-resistant mask to form a patterned mask layer over the polysilicon film, such that the polysilicon film includes masked and unmasked portions; etching the unmasked portions of the polysilicon film for a first amount of time; oxidizing the etched polysilicon film for a second amount of time to form an oxide layer that defines the patterned polysilicon layer; and removing the patterned mask layer; wherein the first and second amounts of time are selected such that the oxide layer and the patterned polysilicon layer have about the same thickness and form a planar surface.
