摘要: A system and method are provided for extracting information regarding a drill site including forming one or more documents having one or more raw comments regarding a well site. Raw data may be extracted from the one or more documents to produce extracted raw data. The extracted raw date may be pre-processed by removing ambiguity, artifacts, and/or formatting errors from the one or more raw comments to produce pre-processed data. Topics data may be extracted from the pre-processed data using a natural language processing (NLP) algorithm to produce extracted topics data. Measurement data may also be extracted from the pre-processed data using the NLP algorithm to produce extracted measurement data. The extracted topics data and the extracted measurement data may be aggregated to form a set of discrete data points, such as calibration points, per comment to produce aggregated data and one more calibration points may be identified from the aggregated data. The results of the one or more calibration points may then be presented.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for automated closed-loop control of drilling trajectory during directional drilling, which define target inclinations and/or target azimuths for a sequence of automated control loops performed over distances of measured depth during directional drilling, wherein the sequence of automated control loops transition from drilling a curve or bend in a wellbore to drilling a horizontal or lateral section or tangent section of the wellbore. In embodiments, the sequence of automated control loops can be configured to incrementally change dog leg severity of the wellbore in a pre-defined manner with the final dog leg severity being at or near zero.

摘要: A method for drilling a subterranean wellbore includes rotating a bottom hole assembly (BHA) in the subterranean wellbore to drill, in which the BHA includes a drill collar, a drill bit, a roll-stabilized housing deployed in the drill collar and configured to rotate with respect to the drill collar, and triaxial accelerometer and triaxial magnetometer sets deployed in the roll-stabilized housing. Triaxial accelerometer and triaxial magnetometer measurements and a drill collar rotation rate measurement are made while the BHA rotates. A wellbore inclination and a gravity tool face of the roll-stabilized housing are computed from the triaxial accelerometer measurements. The computed inclination and gravity toolface, the triaxial magnetometer measurements, and the measured rotation rate of the drill collar are processed to compute an azimuth of the subterranean wellbore in which influences of eddy currents and magnetometer biases are accounted.

摘要: A technique facilitates improved anchoring of expandable well tools along a wellbore or other type of borehole. According to an embodiment, a well tool is sized for placement along a well string. The well tool comprises a tubing and an expandable tubular coupled to the tubing. The expandable tubular is plastically deformable in a radially outward direction when sufficient pressure is applied to an interior of the expandable tubular. The well tool also comprises at least one anchoring ring disposed circumferentially about the expandable tubular. The anchoring ring is constructed with at least one weak point which breaks during expansion of the expandable tubular. Breakage at this weak point enables movement of the anchoring ring in a radially outward direction without elongation of the anchoring ring.
