Abstract:
A method for dealkalizing the inner face (5) of the wall (2) of a glass container (1), which wall (2) delimits a cavity (3) and an opening (4) providing access to the cavity (3), comprising supplying a glass container, the inner face of the wall of which has a temperature of at least 350° C., and introducing into the cavity, with the inner face having a temperature of at least 350° C., a treatment liquid containing a substance designed to react under the heat's effect to bring about dealkalization of the glass, the introducing comprising injecting, by way of an injection head (11) disposed at a distance from the opening in the container and outside the latter, a predetermined metered quantity of the liquid as a spray cone (C) that is sufficiently narrow for all of the metered quantity to pass into the cavity. Also, methods and installations for treating glass containers.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a system (1) for affixing a pattern (2) onto a substrate (3), said system (1) including a transfer means (4) to which said pattern (2) is attached, and a pressing means (5), said system (1) being characterized in that it includes a means (6) for aiding in the positioning of the pattern (2) relative to the substrate (3), said aiding means (6) including a first member (7) rigidly connected to the substrate (3) or to the pressing means (5) and a second member (9) rigidly connected to the transfer means (4), said first and second members (7, 9) being designed in such that engagement is established therebetween that prevents the possibility of the members moving away from each other. The invention can be used for depositing decorative and/or functional elements onto a substrate.
Abstract:
An industrial decoration method in which a colored pattern (11) is made in the bulk of an article (1) made of transparent glass of composition including at least one metallic oxide of silver, of gold, or of copper, said method including the following successive steps: a step of laser irradiating the zone of said glass article that is to be colored; and a final step of annealing the irradiated glass; and being characterized in that a glass composition is used that includes cerium and that has a total content of antimony plus tin that is less than 100 ppm, and in that the step of laser irradiating the zone that is to be colored is performed with laser irradiation having a pulse duration that is less than or equal to 10−11 s, while delivering power to the glass at greater than 1012 W/cm2, and more preferably lying in the range 1012 W/cm2 to 5×1014 W/cm2 for decorating and marking glass articles.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an installation (1) for treating the inner face (6) of the wall (3) of a glass container (2), which wall (3) delimits a receiving cavity (4) and an opening (5) providing access to the cavity (4), the installation (1) comprising a source (12) of a treatment substance (13) and a means (15) for dispensing the treatment substance (13) into the cavity (4) of the container (1), said dispensing means (15) comprising a metering chamber (16) which extends between an inlet orifice (18) and an opposite outlet orifice (19) intended to be positioned above the opening (5) of the container, and also an upper shutter (20) and a lower shutter (21) for the chamber (16), which are positioned in a tiered manner at the inlet orifice (18) and the outlet orifice (19), respectively, of the chamber (16). Installations and methods for treating glass containers.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for treating the wall of a glass container (1), which wall delimits a cavity (4) and an opening providing access to said cavity (4), the method comprising: the dispensing of a treatment substance into the cavity, using a dispensing means (12) of which a dispensing orifice (13) is positioned some distance from the opening of the container (1) and outside the latter, the container (1) being in motion relative to the dispensing means (12), and the capturing, by an image-capturing device (16), during the dispensing, of at least one image of a spatial region including the opening of the container (1) and determining, by analysing said image, whether or not a predetermined quantity of substance was introduced into the cavity (4) of the container (1). Method and installation for treating glass containers.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for dealkalisation of the inside surface (5) of the wall (2) of a glass container (1), which wall (2) defines a cavity (3) and an opening (4) providing access to the cavity (3), the method comprising a step of providing a container made of borosilicate glass, wherein the inside surface of the wall is at a temperature of at least 350° C., and a step of introducing into the cavity, the inside surface being at a temperature of at least 350° C., a treatment liquid containing a substance designed to react under the effect of heat to cause dealkalisation of the glass.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a hollow body is disclosed, the body provided with a glass inside surface defining a cavity, said method being characterized in that it includes a step of covering at least a fraction of said inside surface with a lining of composition that is mostly metal, said covering step including sub-steps of activating and of grafting said inside surface respectively with an activation agent and with a grafting agent, and in that said hollow body comprises a single piece of glass inside which said cavity is formed.
