摘要: The present disclosure relates to an anchor delivery system. The system includes a guide and an anchor delivery tool disposed within the guide. The tool includes a shaft and a handle coupled to a proximal portion of the shaft. The handle includes a hub and a nose cone coupled to the hub. In an embodiment, the tool further includes a knob coupled to the hub and located between the handle and the nose cone. In an embodiment, the system further includes an anchor, such as a suture anchor, coupled to a distal portion of the shaft. An anchor delivery tool and a method of repairing soft tissue are also disclosed.

摘要: A method and system for performing hip arthroplasty include analyzing images of a patient's hip joint in a plurality of positions to identify preoperative hip geometry. A statistical patient model predicts prosthetic hip implant performance based on the preoperative knee geometry and given prosthetic knee implant implantation parameters for a plurality of selected patient activities, each having a predefined motion profile to calculate an optimized surgical plan for performing the procedure using a computer assisted surgical system, which may use fiducial markers affixed to patient tissue. Hip geometry can be determined by angles between landmarks in the images, including sacral tilt, pelvic incidence, pelvic femoral angle, and ante-inclination angle in x-ray images. Implant performance criteria can include, for example, edge loading and range of motion of implant components.

摘要: Embodiments of negative pressure wound therapy systems and methods are disclosed. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a housing enclosing a source of negative pressure and a controller configured to operate the source of negative pressure to provide negative pressure wound therapy to a wound. The housing can also include a communications controller configured to wirelessly transmit and receive data using a communications antenna positioned on an antenna board. The antenna board can be mounted to a communications board that include the communications controller. The antenna board can be electrically connected to the communications board via a single connector on the communications board. The antenna's ground plane can be positioned on the communications board.

摘要: Tissue repair systems which use knotless all-suture anchors and have the ability to lock multiple repair sutures within the anchor construct. The anchor construct includes a tension suture wrapped or looped upon itself to create an open eyelet, through which multiple repair sutures originating in soft tissue are passed. The location of the eyelet may be anywhere inside the all-suture anchor or adjacent to the exterior of the anchor body. Tensioning of the tension suture causes the eyelet to restrict movement of the repair sutures and secures them within or against the anchor body.

摘要: An assembly includes a flexible fixation member, a suture, and a delivery device. The fixation member includes a body with two terminal ends. A suture passes through the flexible fixation member at various points along a length of the body such that portions of the fixation member are slidable relative to the suture and configurable to form a cluster within a surgical site. The delivery device includes a tubular member, an elongated inserter, and a trigger. The elongated inserter is slidably disposed within the tubular member. The inserter has a forked distal end configured to receive a portion of the flexible fixation member and the suture. The trigger is finger-engagable and fixedly coupled to the proximal end of the inserter. It is configured to advance and retract the inserter relative to the tubular member. The trigger includes a retention member for retaining a proximal end portion of the suture.

摘要: A method of calibrating a frontal 2D image of a pelvis of a patient is disclosed. Frontal and lateral 2D images are received, where a fiducial marker is positioned on the patient's suprapubic region during image capture. A first distance of the fiducial marker from the imaging detector is determined based on the fiducial marker's measured diameter in the frontal image. A second distance of the fiducial marker from a coronal plane of the pelvis is determined based on the fiducial marker's measured diameter in the lateral image. The second distance is corrected based on a rotational offset of the patient in the lateral image. A third distance of the coronal plane from the imaging detector in the frontal image is determined from the first distance and corrected second distance. A calibration factor for the frontal image is calculated from the third distance and used to scale the frontal image.

摘要: An intramedullary (“IM”) nail for internal fixation of a bone is disclosed. In one embodiment, the IM nail may be a retrograde femoral nail. Alternatively, in another embodiment, the IM nail may be a tibial IM nail. In one or more embodiments, the screw holes are arranged and configured to optimize placement of one or more screws, fasteners, or the like. In addition, and/or alternatively, an IM nail may be arranged and configured to facilitate removal of a broken screw. Alternatively, in some embodiments, the tibial IM nail may be arranged and configured to be side-specific so that the anatomic specific tibial IM nails can be used to, for example, target specific bony anatomy such as, for example, the patient's posterior malleolar, the syndesmotic joint, etc.
