    摘要: A high speed fluid switch is used to separate desired particles from a source stream containing particles, such as cells. A droplet generator creates and regulates a stream of droplets, which intersects with a source stream containing the particles to be sorted. The stream of droplets can be regulated such that portions of the source stream containing desired particles are deflected into a collection vessel, or such that portions of the source stream containing desired particles are permitted to pass uninterrupted. The high speed fluid switch may be implemented on a microfluidic chip.

    摘要: A camera outputs to a host terminal a moving image for display on a display. An image acquisition unit acquires an unprocessed image captured using an imaging element. A simple demosaic processing unit performs a demosaic process on the unprocessed image. A pyramid filter unit converts the unprocessed image into a plurality of reduced images whose resolutions vary in stages. An image transmission unit is provided with a selection unit for selecting a part of the unprocessed image as a specific part and also selecting any one of the plurality of reduced images as a specified reduced image. The specific part of the unprocessed image and the specified reduced image that have been selected are transmitted to a host terminal by a communication unit for a further image process.

    摘要: A communication interface device includes a wireless Internet packet (IP) transceiver and a PCMCIA card electrically connected to the transceiver. Also, a universal serial bus (USB) connector is plugged into a hub that holds the PCMCIA card, with a cord extending from the USB connector and terminating in another USB connector. Accordingly, the device can be engaged with the PCMCIA bay of a user terminal or, if a user terminal has no PCMCIA bay, with a USB receptacle of the user terminal, to establish wireless communication. To simplify set-up, a CD containing all operating system versions of PCMCIA and USB drivers is engaged with the user terminal. The terminal's operating system is then automatically determined, and only the drivers associated with that operating system are loaded onto the terminal.

    摘要: A chain of boundary scan registers is configured to use a two-phase clock signal to avoid data timing race conditions. The two-phase clock signal is generated according to a two-phase clock generator, which includes two self-timed clock pulse generators for each boundary scan register. The two-phase clock generator locally generates a self-timed clock pulse at the rising edge of a clock signal, which triggers a first stage of the boundary scan register. The two-phase clock generator also generates a self-timed clock pulse at the falling edge of the input clock signal, which triggers a second stage of the boundary scan register. The two-phase clock controlled boundary scan register includes two latches, each latch is triggered by one of the self-timed clock pulse generated locally from the rising and falling edge of the input clock signal.
