    摘要: Described herein are devices, systems and methods for minimally-invasive treating spinal conditions. In one aspect, disclosed is an intervertebral fixation device having a housing sized to be positioned between adjacent inferior and superior vertebrae. The housing includes an internal volume defined by an inferior coupling element, a superior coupling element, and first and second sidewalls. The device includes at least one flexible element coupled to an internal surface of at least one of the inferior or superior coupling elements. The at least one flexible element projects into the internal volume of the housing when in a first configuration. The device includes at least one fixation member coupled to the flexible element and sized to extend through a corresponding aperture in the inferior or superior coupling element.

    摘要: Instruments and methods for preparing an intervertebral space for receiving an implant. An adjustable trial implant has an adjustable stop mechanism having a stop member connected thereto to vary the distance that a body portion of the trial implant can move into the intervertebral space. Cutting tools for forming cutouts in the adjacent vertebrae use the trial implant and/or a guide to position a cutting tool which may be a burr or a chisel. The chisel cutting tool can be moveable relative to a selected trial implant or the chisel cutting tools can be fixed onto a trial implant shaped body portion.

    摘要: An instrument, instrument system and method for cutting a cutout in a vertebral bone adjacent an intervertebral space are provided which make use of a cutting blade. The cutting blade is mounted on a support structure for movement toward and cutting into the vertebral bone. A stop arrangement is also mounted on the support structure and is movable relative to the cutting blade to a position to limit movement of the cutting blade into the vertebral bone. Typically, the limited movement cutting is made after two cutouts are provided in adjacent vertebral bones using a trial implant.

    摘要: An intervertebral implant device includes an upper part, a lower part and a core element. The upper part includes an upper surface for engaging a vertebrae and a lower surface which includes a convex portion. The lower part includes a lower surface for engaging a vertebrae and an upper surface having a convex portion. The core element has an upper concave portion to operatively engage with the convex portion on the upper part and a lower concave portion to operatively engage with the convex portion of the lower part. Limited universal movement and translational movement is provided between the upper part and lower part.
