Abstract:
A method of providing electronic home assistant service. The method comprises processing a first audio received from a microphone of an electronic home assistant by a voice recognition application executing on the electronic home assistant into a first parsed digital signal, providing the parsed digital signal by the voice recognition application to a plurality of applications executing on the electronic home assistant, receiving an exclusive access to parsed digital signals request by the voice recognition application from a wireless communication service account self-service client application executing on the electronic home assistant, processing a second audio received from the microphone of the electronic home assistant by the voice recognition application to form a second parsed digital signal, and providing the second parsed digital signal exclusively to the wireless communication service account self-service client application.
Abstract:
Systems and methods discussed herein relate to enabling communications between IPv4 and IPv6 hosts using a communication channel in a trusted security zone associated with a first host to determine the IP-versions and/or other security features that may be present or enabled on the first host or the second host.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for resuming a media object presented on a device following a data loss event that interrupts the presentation of the media object, wherein streaming services are used to deliver the media object are provided. A physical disconnection that occurs at a point during the presentation of the media object is recognized. The physical disconnection is recognized based on an identification that media data has not been received by the device within a predetermined time period. Upon recognition of the physical disconnection, the presentation of the media object is automatically paused. After detecting reestablishment of a physical connection, the media object is resumed as though no interruption occurred. A resume request is communicated to a streaming control agent to provide an indication that the streaming control agent should continue delivering media data to the device.
Abstract:
The present invention is a telecommunications system for allowing a business to control customer service. The system is comprised of a switching network and an enhanced services platform. Calls from the customer to the business are routed to the enhanced services platform by the switching network. Using codes acquired from the customer and the switching network, the enhanced services platform identifies a program specified by the business and also retrieves customer information. The information contains an account of telecommunications available, and the customer is connected to the business as long as a pre-determined amount is in the account. Action is taken when a second pre-determined amount remains. The customer is allowed to refresh the account and the enhanced services platform is capable of collecting information from the customer as a pre-requisite to customer service.
Abstract:
A battery-powered wireless communication device has internal antennas. In the wireless communication device, transceiver circuitry wirelessly receives external antenna data that indicates on/off status, reserve battery power, and geometric earth-orientation for the individual antennas in a different wireless communication device. Baseband circuitry determines internal antenna data that indicates the on/off status, reserve battery power, and geometric earth-orientation for the internal antennas. The baseband circuitry executes a user application that generates and consumes user data. The baseband circuitry selects a set of the internal antennas to serve the user application based on the internal antenna data and the external antenna data. The transceiver circuitry wirelessly exchanges the user data over the selected set of the internal antennas.
Abstract:
A method for granting secure network access comprising requesting, by a mobile device, access to a network via an access point; receiving a passcode from the access point; sending a message including the passcode and an indicia back to the access point; and generating, by the access point, a secure key based on the indicia, the secure key providing network access to the mobile device.
Abstract:
A system for automatically collecting, displaying, analyzing and projecting data associated with inbound and outbound calls at a plurality of customer care call centers is presented. The system comprises a computer system, a memory, and an application stored in the memory that, when executed by the computer system, stores inbound call metrics about calls to a plurality of customer care call centers, and stores outbound call metrics about calls directed outbound from the plurality of customer care call centers. The system further determines a current call handling status of the plurality of customer care call centers, projects a future status of the plurality of customer care call centers based on the inbound call metrics, on the outbound call metrics, on the current call handling status, and on a call handling plan, and performs an action based on the projected future status of the plurality of customer care call centers.
Abstract:
A system for personalizing a user experience on a mobile computing device is provided. The system includes a user environment component associated with the mobile computing device. The user environment component is operable for generating a navigational data associated with interactions with the mobile computing device by the user. The system includes a server in communication with the mobile computing device and has an associated user environment manager component. The user environment manager component is operable for processing the navigational data and cache information associated with the user interactions. The server is operable for using the navigational data and other user information to select content to be provided to the user environment component.
Abstract:
A method of processing data message in a computer system comprising a plurality of message queuing nodes, message processing nodes, and coordinating nodes. The method comprises adding a node to the computing system, determining the IP address and node identity number of the added node by a monitor Java archive (JAR) executing on a coordinating node of the computing system, sending the IP address and node identity number via a Java management extension (JMX) connector client of the monitor JAR to each of the message queuing nodes and message processing nodes via a Java management extension (JMX) connector associated with an MBean of each of the message queuing nodes and message processing nodes, where the MBeans encapsulates a configuration file, whereby each of the configuration files are updated with the IP address and the node identity number of the added message queuing node.
Abstract:
A configuration message is received from a first computer system. In response to the configuration message, a first wireless device is enumerated on the first computer system as locally attached mass storage. A registration message is sent to a wireless network. File information about a shared file is received from a second wireless device. The second wireless device is enumerated on a second computer system as locally attached mass storage. A shared block of data is received from the second wireless device. The shared block of data is sent to the first computer system as data that is stored on a locally attached mass storage device.
