Abstract: An electrolysis device for the electrolytic treatment of liquids has an anode chamber and a cathode chamber which are separated from one another via an ion exchange membrane. The chambers are provided with an inlet opening and an outlet opening for the flowing electrolyte, each with one electrode. The inner space of the anode chamber and/or of the cathode chamber are/is subdivided by webs or ribs extending transversely with respect to the electrodes. The webs or ribs are provided at least regionally with holes or cut outs. The webs or ribs include at least one lower region free of holes or cut outs. The electrolysis device provides sufficient mixing in the upper foam phase in the longitudinal direction and also at the same time the airlift pump effect is maintained by way of ascending gas bubbles in the lower region.

Abstract: An electrolysis cell includes an anode chamber and a cathode chamber separated by an ion-exchange membrane. The electrolysis cell includes an anode, a cathode, and a cathode current distributor. The anode, the ion-exchange membrane, the cathode, and the cathode current distributor are in direct touching contact in the mentioned order. Flexibly resilient holding elements are arranged on the other side of the anode and/or on the other side of the cathode current distributor. The flexibly resilient holding elements exert a contact pressure on the anode and/or on the cathode current distributor. The flexibly resilient holding elements have annular elements, the axis of which is oriented in the height direction of the electrolysis cell. By means of the flexibly resilient and in part also plastically deforming annular elements, effective mechanical contact pressure of the ion-exchange membrane against the oxygen-depolarized cathode is achieved.

Abstract: A textile can be configured as a spacer between a housing or a supporting structure and an electrode or a substructure of an electrode of a zero-gap electrolytic cell. The textile may comprise a mechanical connection means composed of an elastic polymeric material and may comprise an electrical connection means different from the mechanical connection means. A zero-gap electrolytic cell can be furnished with such a textile. Further, a method for producing such a zero-gap electrolytic cell may be characterized in that at least one ply of a textile is placed into an anode tank or cathode tank, an anode or cathode electrode is disposed on the at least one ply of the textile, an ion exchange membrane is placed onto this electrode, and a cathode electrode or anode electrode connected to a cathode tank or anode tank, respectively, is disposed on the ion exchange membrane.

Abstract: An electrolysis facility having a sealed coupling between at least two pipes may be mountable on one another. A deformation point may be formed at a circumferential position having an axial length on a free end of the outer pipe in the overlap region. The deformation point may define a region for deformation of the outer pipe. A lateral surface of an inner lateral surface of the outer pipe and an outer lateral surface of the inner pipe may define a sealing surface that overlaps the deformation point in the axial direction. In addition to high operational reliability, this also enables a simplification of the installation procedure.
