摘要: A method of depleting a given analyte from a water source is provided. The method is applicable to water used in oil recovery, water used in natural gas recovery, the treatment of water wells, and for water used in hydraulic fluids for fracturing processes, such as water to be used in proppants or fracking fluids. The method involves depleting an analyte from a water source, said method comprising contacting a water source with a superparamagnetic or paramagnetic nanoparticle; complexing the analyte with the particle; and removing the analyte-particle complex by applying a magnetic field so as to provide a water source with depleted analyte content. The depleted water can then be pumped into one or more connecting injection well(s) in an oil field pushing the crude oil 10 towards one or more production well(s) thereby allowing for enhanced oil recovery from the production wells.

摘要: In a method of sealing a fracture (1) in a formation (2) surrounding a wellbore provided with a non-cemented perforated liner (4), a placement tool (6) is introduced into the liner, and a first and second annular flow barrier (8, 9) create an upstream (10), an intermediate (11) and a downstream section (12). A cross flow shunt tube (13) connects the upstream section and the downstream section, and a sealing fluid outlet (14) is arranged in the intermediate section. A placement fluid is caused to flow into the fracture and controlled to obtain a desired fluid flow in an annular space between the liner and the formation that is directed in downstream direction at a position upstream the fracture and in the upstream direction at a position downstream the fracture. When said desired flow is obtained, sealing fluid is ejected from the sealing fluid outlet. A sealing system is furthermore disclosed.

摘要: The invention relates to a system and a method for determining flow patterns of fluid in a production well. Especially, the invention relates to a method of determining flow patterns between and into oil production wells drilled in the Earth when flow is improved by water flooding. The system comprises a canister (1) said canister being located in said formation at a subterranean location within or proximate the wellbore, the canister being provided with an exit opening (5), a traceable component (4) being placed in the canister and able to pass through the exit opening and a release mechanism capable of releasing the traceable component when triggered by a triggering mechanism such that the traceable component enters the fluid flowing through the well through the exit opening and is present in the fluid flow in the wellbore. The method comprising the steps of providing a canister in said formation at a subterranean location within or proximate the wellbore said canister holding a traceable component and being provided with an exit opening and monitoring the fluid flow from the wellbore at a location remote from said canister for the presence of traceable component.

摘要: A method and a system of analyzing multiphase fluid flow in at least one well or pipeline is provided, the method comprises characterizing slug flow in the multiphase fluid flow by receiving a plurality of well pressure data from the at least one well, processing the plurality of well pressure data to obtain a time-varying slug amplitude and/or a time-varying slug period for slugs in the slug flow, analyzing the slug amplitudes and/or the slug periods over a period of time to thereby determine a measure of well performance. Also an oil field monitoring system for an oil field comprising a plurality of wells is provided. Each well has a pressure gauge installed to measure a well pressure and is connected to a multiphase fluid flow analyzing system. An oil field unit receives the measure of well performance from the multiphase fluid flow analyzing system, and output the measures of well performance for each of the plurality of wells.

摘要: A wellbore (1) surrounded by a formation has a horizontal section provided with a non-cemented perforated liner (3), thereby forming an annular space (4) between the liner and the formation. The annular space is divided into zones (zone 1, zone 2, zone 3) isolated from each other by means of respective external packers (6, 7, 8) arranged externally on the liner. Selective access to the zones is provided by means of an internal pipe (9) arranged inside the liner and provided with internal packers (10, 11, 12) corresponding to the respective external packers. For each of the zones, the internal pipe is provided with a valve (14, 15, 16) providing access between the inside of the internal pipe and the corresponding zone. Stimulation of the near-wellbore is performed by pumping acid or the like reactive fluid through the internal pipe into the wellbore and is performed simultaneously in adjacent zones of the annular space.

摘要: In a wellbore (1) provided with a non-cemented perforated liner (6) forming a continuous annular space (7) between the liner and the formation (2), the liner having an original perforation pattern being optimized for acid stimulation of the wellbore, the following steps are performed: injecting a hydrocarbon displacement fluid and measuring parameters relevant for inflow profiling, on the basis thereof, determining an actual inflow profile (P a) over the length of the wellbore, comparing the determined actual inflow profile (Pa) with a preferred inflow profile (Pp) over the length of the wellbore, estimating, on the basis of the difference between the actual inflow profile (Pa) and the preferred inflow profile (Pp), a modified perforation pattern for the liner, determining how the original perforation pattern of the liner may be adapted to form said modified perforation pattern for the liner, and adapting the perforation pattern of the liner accordingly.

摘要: A downhole tool for investigating an outside fluid flow being adapted to operate in a well bore is presented. The downhole tool comprises a housing surrounded by an outside fluid and at least a first wave generator device. The first wave generator device preferably comprises a directional sound generator, for coupling waves into the surrounding outside fluid. The waves therein are scattered, for example, reflected, at inhomogeneities in the outside fluid, for example particles, scatterers and/or water in oil, thereby generating reflections. Said reflections are measured with a receiver device for receiving said reflections, and are evaluated using an evaluation device for determining first positions of said inhomogeneities in the outside fluid by evaluating said reflections, wherein the evaluation device is adapted to determine the outside fluid flow.
