摘要: The invention describes a method of adapting a network readiness (850) for downloading video data comprising the steps of: determining a download quality for downloading video data; determining whether the download quality is above or below a defined quality threshold value (890); adapting a network capacity and/or a video quality depending on the result of the determination of the download quality such that the download quality is above the defined quality threshold value (890). The invention further relates to a corresponding first network system, second network system and a communication system. It's a basic idea of the present invention to provide a method and corresponding devices or systems which enable a control of the network readiness (850) of a communication network with respect to the download of video data in order guaranty a defined download quality.

摘要: A method is provided for the operation of a system for the administration of calls to a call center. A first call initiated by a caller using a call number allocated to the call center is automatically received and held in a waiting queue. A waiting position with respect to the first call is determined and the first call is ranged in the waiting queue corresponding to the determined waiting position. The calls held in the waiting queue are forwarded one after the other to an available call center agent. The first call is terminated within a time interval if the call has not been forwarded, and a second call to the caller is initiated by using a recorded call number. If the second call is answered, the second call will be ranged in the waiting queue, wherein the waiting position is determined in consideration of the first call.

摘要: Described herein is a method for changing active subscription data in an identification module for use in a mobile radio device that can be connected to a mobile radio network. After the activation of new subscription data, the identification module returns automatically to the activation of old subscription data that had already been activated before the change if at least one predefined event is not detected in the identification module after the activation of the new subscription data. Moreover, the present techniques relate to an identification module that is suitable for carrying out the method.

摘要: A method in signal processing is used for quantizing likelihood quotients of binary random variables for transmitting between at least two signal processing units. Decision levels and reconstruction levels of a quantization of likelihood quotients are thereby determined by maximizing corresponding information between the binary random variables and the associated quantized likelihood quotients at a prescribed probability distribution of the likelihood quotients. A corresponding quantization device determines decision levels and reconstruction levels of a quantization of the likelihood quotients by maximizing the corresponding information between the binary variables and the associated quantized likelihood quotients at a prescribed probability density of the likelihood quotients.

摘要: A method for filtering out a useful signal of a mobile radio terminal from a plurality of superimposed signals having a signal quality received by base stations in a cellular mobile radio network. The superimposed signal of the mobile radio terminal is detected by base stations that are reached and the signal quality of the received and superimposed signal of every base station reached is determined. The signal quality of a selected base station is then transmitted to a decision element and a selection of a selected base station is made by the decision element to decode the useful signal of the mobile radio terminal. The invention also relates to a device for filtering out a useful signal of a mobile radio terminal from a plurality of superimposed signals received by base stations in a cellular mobile radio network.
