摘要： The present seed spacing and planting device consists of a planar member with a plurality of sidewalls having beveled edges extending vertically therefrom, with an integral or removable grid. A plurality of evenly spaced pegs or apertures are disposed along the face of the base, aligned with said sidewalls. The present device is pressed into the ground, edges downwards, to create a plurality of depressions for planting either seeds or seedlings therein. For embodiments having pegs, the pegs automatically create the depressions because they are pressed into the soil along with the beveled edges. For embodiments having apertures, a dibble is additionally provided which is pushed through said apertures for creating the planting depressions.

摘要： A digging tool has a pair of handles, each with a hand-grasping portion that provides comfortable manipulation, and each with a lower handle member that couples into a shovel assembly. Each one of the pair of shovel assemblies has a shovel blade and is provided with a suitable foot ledge. Each shovel assembly is formed with the shovel blade on one end, and on a second end distal to the blade a channel encompasses and reinforces a handle contained therein. A pair of plate and fastener combinations cooperate with at least one longitudinally extensive slot in each channel, to allow each shovel assembly to independently reciprocate longitudinally parallel or co-axially with respect to the associated handle. A hinge is provided between and couples each of the two handles together pivotally, preferably relatively more closely to the blade than the hand-grasping portion to provide good mechanical advantage.

摘要： A foot rest for a post-hole digger and post-hole diggers using the foot rest are disclosed. The foot rest includes two portions, one attached to each shaft of the post-hole digger. The two portions have structure that allows them to engage one another when the two shafts of the post-hole digger are vertical. The foot rest does not extend beyond the bore diameter of the post-hole digger. Thus, in order to keep the user's feet on the relatively short foot rest, the contact surface of the foot rest may be angled. In some embodiments, the foot rest may be symmetrical, so that either side may be used as the upper surface. A post-hole digger including the foot rests typically includes at least two foot rests, spaced from one another and facing different directions along the shafts of the tool.

摘要： A device and method for hand planting cereal grain seed, and other crops where singulation (single seeds planted per strike) is taught. The device and method are capable of serving as a small scale fertilizer and alternative product applicator. The inventive method includes the capability of applying fertilizer and/or other products that are collected and dispensed via a reciprocating drum device. The device preferably includes a tapered (or pointed) soil engagement component capable of striking or penetrating the soil surface. With each planter strike to the soil surface, the device is actuated to meter a granular material product and the reciprocating drum rotates to expose the cavity to a material hopper. As the actuation force is released, the reciprocating drum rotates in the opposite direction to its original location and drops the material that has been metered.

The single handle of the post hole digger is generally comprised of an outer elongated vertical handle and an inner elongated vertical shaft located substantially within the outer handle. The post hole digger of the present invention has two blade members used to cut into the ground and to loosen soil when in an open configuration and then used to capture and remove soil when in a closed configuration. In some embodiments, a first stationary blade member is permanently attached to the inner elongated vertical shaft by an adjustable pin or bolt and a second movable blade member is connected to the outer elongated handle via a connection rod.

The metering device provides a mechanism for discharging a metered amount of material, such as rice seeds, into a reservoir formed by plunging the metering device into soil. The metering device operates in a reciprocating motion wherein, in a first position, the spear extends from the device to form the reservoir and the seeds are retained within the device and in a second position, the spear is retracted into the device and the seeds are able to be discharged out of the device and into the reservoir.

The cart has a self-supporting wheeled frame, a push handle for use at a standing height, a repair mix reservoir at a first height above the ground, and a rear-facing dispensing spout having a divot alignment position adjacent the ground in which the spout is visible from the push handle for aligning it with a divot hole. Repair mix is dispensed by tilting the cart.
