摘要： A crop header has a cutter bar with generally horizontal flail disks driven about generally spaced upright axes. At least two of the disks are mounted outwardly of a discharge opening and the outermost disk carries an impeller and at least one additional impeller is mounted inwardly and rearwardly of the outer impeller to carry the crop inwardly. The impellers are formed of angularly spaced bars which are inclined inwardly to a center waist to form an “hour glass” shaped impeller. A transfer roller transfers the crop upwardly and rearwardly from the disks to the nip of a pair of conditioner rolls and is at least as large as the bottom roll and carries high ribs forwardly inclined for an aggressive action on the crop with its axis above the cuffing plane and its uppermost edge of the ribs at or above the axis of the bottom roll.

摘要： A rotary platform is provided for the harvest of specialty crops such as grass seed. In particular the conditioning rolls are removed from the header to reduce seed shatter and converging elements are added inside the conditioner opening on both sides and to the rear of the cutterbar to feed the crop around the conditioner opening corner and to the rear of the platform. Additional converging elements are provided behind the first converging elements at a angle less then 90 DEG. to the ground so as to form the top of the windrow so that there is minimal seed loss. The converging elements may or may not be powered and the angle of the second converging element can be adjustable. The rotary knives perform the cutting function more efficiently than a sickle cutterbar, and the converging elements move the crop toward the center to form a windrow with less disturbance.

摘要： A swath roller apparatus is adapted to be attached to a swather, where the swather is operative to cut standing crop plants and lay cut plants in a swath as the swather moves along the ground in an operating travel direction. A drum is rotatably attached to an axle that is adapted to be movably attached to a rear portion of the swather such that the axle is oriented substantially horizontally and perpendicular to the operating travel direction, and such that the drum moves up and down and rolls along a top of the swath exerting a downward anchoring force on the swath. A bias element is operative to exert a bias force on the axle, and a bias force control is operative to vary the bias force to vary the anchoring force.
