摘要： A thick film polymer membrane switch can be positioned within a seat belt buckle. The switch can detect if the seat belt buckle is fastened or unfastened. In one approach, an apparatus includes a housing having a cavity, an insertion member moveable within the cavity, a connector positioned within the cavity, and a switch positioned within the cavity, wherein movement of the insertion member causes the connector to connect or disconnect from the switch. In some approaches, the switch includes a first conductive element formed adjacent a first layer of flexible film, and a second conductive element formed adjacent a second layer of flexible film, wherein the first and second layers of flexible film are separated by a gap.

The guide surfaces, which are formed on an inner surface of the housing space and extend in an insertion direction of the legs while being opposed to each other, each include: a squeezing portion formed continuously with corresponding one of the engaged portions; and a guiding portion formed between the squeezing portion and the insertion opening. An interval between the guiding portions near the engaged portions is wider than an interval between the squeezing portions near the engaged portions. An inclination angle of each guiding portion to an insertion direction of the plug is smaller than an inclination angle of each of the squeezing portion to the insertion direction.

摘要： A buckle including a first buckle portion having an engagement member and a second buckle portion having socket arms forming a socket for releasably engaging the engagement member. A sleeve member is reciprocatably disposed about the socket arms between first, second and third positions, whereby the sleeve member in the first position prevents expansion of the socket arms so as to retain the engagement member, and the socket arms are expandable when the sleeve member is in the second and third positions so as to permit release of the engagement member from the socket and insertion of the engagement member into the socket.

摘要： A latch mechanism for use in safety belt buckles, connectors and couplings, in which a female portion is provided with a slot having two opposed edges and inner and outer wall surfaces on opposite sides of the slot edges, and a male portion having a member with a forward end and a shoulder thereon for extending through the slot and seating on the inner surface of the female portion. A member movable toward and away from the forward end of the first member is adapted to seat in the slot when the first member is disposed therein, for holding the first member in the slot and the shoulder in engagement with the inner surface of the part defining the slot. The second member is urged toward the forward end of the first member by a spring or other suitable resilient means, and an operating means, preferably consisting of a push button, handle or stem, is provided for retracting the second member.

摘要： A five-point buckle has five ratchets, each for lockingly receiving a respective connector on the end of any one of two shoulder belts, two lap belts, or a crotch belt, the end connectors being insertable into the buckle in random sequence, with the two shoulder belt ratchets having overlying tabs, and the crotch belt and left lap belt ratchets having overlying tabs adjacent the overlying tabs of the shoulder belt ratchets, and with a slidable shoe adapted to sequentially engage and depress the adjacent sets of tabs upon manual movement of the shoe to thereby sequentially release first the shoulder belts simultaneously and then the left lap belt and crotch belt simultaneously from the buckle. Detents indicate the position of the shoe to permit release of the shoulder belts only, a spring biases the shoe to a non-tab engaging position, and a blocking plate may be inserted into the buckle to convert the five-point buckle to a four-point or three-point buckle.

摘要： Provided is a buckle including a plug and a socket. The plug includes a pair of leg portions, each of which is provided with an engaging portion, and outer and inner leg pieces extending while opposing each other. In the vicinity of a distal end portion of the leg portion, the outer and inner leg pieces are connected to each other by a distal end connection portion. On a base end portion of the leg portion, the outer and inner leg pieces are connected to each other by an arm portion. Opposing arm distal end portions of the arm portions are formed to define a slit having a predetermined space between the leg portions. The opposing arm distal end portions are connected to guide portions extending in a protruding direction of the leg portions. The pair of leg portions is provided to be swingable across the slit.
