摘要： A vacuum cleaner comprises a user-controllable clutch assembly for selectively engaging an agitator assembly. The clutch assembly generally comprises an axially displaceable drive member that is selectively engageable by rotating ramps that engage stationary cam lobes. In one embodiment, the clutch module is mounted to the foot housing and is intermediately connected between the vacuum motor/fan shaft and the agitator. In a second embodiment, the clutch module is mounted axially on the agitator shaft. In a third embodiment, a linkage interconnects a handle detent pedal to the clutch module to automatically engage the clutch when a user depresses the detent pedal.

摘要： A cleaning tool for a vacuum cleaning device has a housing having a bottom plate with a working slot. A rotatingly driven working tool is rotatably supported in the housing and passes through the working slot to act on a surface to be cleaned. A motor is arranged in the housing and has a motor shaft. A gear system is connected between the motor and the working tool, wherein the gear system has a driving wheel driven by the motor shaft and a driven wheel fixedly connected to the working tool. The driving wheel and the driven wheel are V-belt pulleys and have a peripheral groove, respectively. The gear system further has a V-gear positioned between the driving wheel and the driven wheel, wherein the V-gear has an outer periphery that engages the peripheral grooves for establishing a driving connection between the driving wheel and the driven wheel.

The moisture cleaner device comprises a frame providing the circulation track of the moisture cleaner; a working roller and a driven roller mounted sideways in the top and lower part of the said frame; a first coupling means for attachment and removal of the lower part of the moisture cleaner to the vacuum suction head section; a second coupling means for attachment and removal of the top part of the moisture cleaner to a connecting pipe; and a moisture cleaner mounted to the surface of the frame. Because the peripheral surface of the working roller is uneven, when the vacuum suction head portion is moved back and forth, the working roller and driven roller are rotated, the moisture cleaner thus being operative such that the moisture cleaner contacts the floor as the normal vacuum suction cleaning proceeds.

A rag disposed behind the rear brush is rotatably driven about a transverse axis by the reciprocal action of the housing as the latter is displaced along the floor. A water supply keeps the rag moist. The rag is driven such that the floor-engaging portion is driven in a direction opposite the direction of housing travel. An auxiliary opening in the suction line sucks dirt from the rag at a location above the floor.

摘要： A suction cleaning device adapted to be moved over a surface to remove loose debris therefrom and for use in a system including a suction duct leading to a source of high velocity air vacuum. A frame defines a housing having a substantially closed top. A plurality of elongated rollers are journalled on the frame within the housing and extending generally perpendicular to a forward direction of travel of the device for sealing as the device moves over the surface. Upper seals extend lengthwise between adjacent rollers and spaced from the surface. Surface seals extend between adjacent ends of selected pairs of the elongated rollers, whereby the rollers, the upper seals, the surface seals and the surface itself substantially define the bounds of a tortuous air flow path generally parallel to and over the surface in a circuitous route between the rollers. An air inlet is located forwardly of the housing at one end of the tortuous air flow path. An air outlet is located rearwardly of the inlet, with the tortuous air flow path following the circuitous route around the outlet and between the rollers.
