Abstract: Systems, methods and devices are provided for use in a negative pressure wound therapy system for healing a wound in a patient. Various aspects may include an ester-based material adapted to be directly applied to the wound, such as a smooth muscle fistula, without substantially damaging tissue in the wound during dressing changes. The ester-based material may have an affinity for the wound bed surface and/or wound fluid. In addition, various aspects may include a device adapted to close the wound, such as a smooth muscle fistula.

Abstract: Systems and methods for treating a plurality of tissue sites include a multi-port therapy unit. The multi-port therapy unit includes a plurality of patient-side ports each fluidly coupled to a plurality of conduits and a fluid reservoir fluidly coupled to the plurality of ports. A plurality of pressure sensors are associated with the plurality of patient-side ports to determining a pressure associated with each conduit. A controller is operatively coupled to the plurality of pressure sensors to receive treatment pressure data, monitor pressure for each pressure sensor of the plurality of pressure sensors, and signal an alarm condition if the pressure is outside of a pre-selected range. The system includes a reduced-pressure source fluidly coupled to a dressing at each tissue site through the multi-port therapy unit.

Abstract: According to certain aspects, a negative pressure wound therapy system can include a negative pressure therapy apparatus configured to apply negative pressure to a wound of a patient. The negative pressure therapy device can include a wound dressing configured to be placed over the wound, a negative pressure source supported by the wound dressing, and a controller. The controller can include a processor configured to determine operating data of the negative pressure therapy apparatus and transmit the operating data. The negative pressure wound therapy system can further include a wireless communication device having a controller with one or more processors. The controller of the wireless communication device can be configured to be communicatively coupled to the negative pressure therapy apparatus and further configured to receive the operating data transmitted by the controller of the negative pressure therapy apparatus. The controller can be further configured to output the operating data.

The drainage manifold may include a plurality of elongate members having a moveable end that may be adapted to configure the drainage manifold to treat a uniquely shaped tissue site. The drainage manifold may be coupled to a drainage tube with a transitional connector to provide a drainage system capable of distributing reduced pressure to the tissue site to enhance the drainage of fluids.

Abstract: An example apparatus for treating a tissue site with negative pressure may include a primary manifold configured to move between a retracted state and an extended state. The primary manifold may include a top surface and a bottom surface positioned opposite the top surface and configured to face toward the tissue site. Further, the primary manifold may include a pleat positioned adjacent to an extension zone that is configured to extend outward from the bottom surface of the primary manifold toward the tissue site when the primary manifold is in the extended state.
