Abstract:
A method, system, and apparatus directed to an innovative approach for the treatment of stormwater utilizing hydrodynamic separator assembly designed to maximize flow movement for more efficient sediment removal and maximize clearance space within assembly to facilitate cleaning and increase storage capacity of trash, debris, and sediment. In particular, the described hydrodynamic separator is an improvement over other hydrodynamic separators known in the art with the inclusion of one or more down pipes which siphon water from the lower portion of the sump chamber. The inclusion of down pipes allows for an improved control of the velocity of the water flow through the device by distributing flow into more than one path.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a plate settler cover that prevents algae growth, prevents contamination from organic material, and provides structural support for a user who is standing or walking on the plate settler system. The plate settler covers can either float directly on standing water present in the system or may be structurally supported such that the plate cover is positioned above the surface of the water.
Abstract:
A launder cover system for reducing or eliminating sunlight exposure so as to prevent algae growth in a tank such as a clarifier tank. The launder cover system generally includes a plurality of support members and a plurality of launder covers which are each independently pivotably connected to a tank wall of a tank, such as by using a mount. The support members are each pivotably connected to the tank wall by a pivot connector and the launder covers are each pivotably connected to the tank wall by a hinge connector. Each support member is positioned between a pair of launder covers, and each launder cover is positioned between a pair of support members. The support members function to support the launder covers in a raised or lowered position. A launder support may be connected to the channel wall to support the launder covers in their lowered positions.
Abstract:
A waste oil handling apparatus features a tank with draining compartments for receiving waste oil containers in inverted and elevated positions above the tank floor. Multiple drain ports communicate with the tank interior at different elevations relative to the floor for draining accumulated contents of varying density that have gravitationally separated into distinct layers at those elevations. The ports feature adjustable fittings for adjusting the levels from which the layered contents are drawn through the ports from the tank interior. The tank has a large cleanout access by which personnel can access the tank interior for thorough cleanout. The compartments are organized into one or more troughs, each having a pivotal lid thereon. Lift brackets under the floor enable lifted transport of the tank by pallet jack or forklift.
Abstract:
A cleaning system for cleaning a lamella plate settler includes at least one mechanical cleaning device; a suspension device adapted to suspend the mechanical cleaning device; wherein the suspension device includes a displacement device for lowering and raising the at least one mechanical cleaning device for mechanical cleaning of a lamella plate positioned below the cleaning system. By providing a frame supporting the at least one cleaning device; wheels attached to the frame and adapted to move on rails, the wheels including driving wheels and non-driving wheel, and a sensor, preferably an inductive sensor, adapted to sense the rotational position of the driving wheels, the lamella plate settler can be automatically be cleaned without emptying the basin of water, thus allowing cleaning during operation. A lamella plate settler and a method of cleaning a lamella plate are also provided.

Abstract:
A screen decanter for decanting liquid from a reservoir, comprising at least one rack comprising screens and baffles forming the sides of a cavity; a frame attached to the screens and baffles and providing a barrier so that liquid cannot pass from outside into the cavity without passing through the screens; a patterned perforated drain pipe inside the cavity and leading to an opening through which liquids may drain out from the cavity. The pattern of the openings counteracts the hydrostatic head within the rack such that flow through the screens is uniform at all depths of immersion in the liquid reservoir. Preferably, the screens have a porosity of about 50 micrometers.
Abstract:
A method of treating fluids, including for recovery of water apart from impurities or undesired matter, utilizes application of shock waves to the fluids.
Abstract:
A waste treatment tank cover arrangement is provided having at least one cover module having a cover section, a mounting section, and a hinge, where the cover section is pivotably mounted to the mounting section, movable between a dosed position and an open position. At least one cover module mounting bracket arrangement has a first L-shaped bracket connected to an inner side of a launder channel wall and a U-shaped mounting bracket conned to the first L-shaped bracket and extending upward, where the U-shaped mounting bracket connects to and supports the mounting section of the cover module. The position of the mounting bracket and connected hinge are such that the position of the hinge is inboard relative to the location of the weir such that when the cover section is in an open position, the weir is exposed and not hidden beneath the mounting section.
Abstract:
An open top tank comprising a first internal compartment, second internal compartment, and third internal compartment, all longitudinally aligned, and a pair of diffusers situated on top of the first internal compartment. Each diffuser comprises an inner diffuser tube coupled to an outer diffuser tube. The inner diffuser tube comprises a plurality of slots, and the outer diffuser tube comprises at least one outlet port. The inner diffuser tube is situated inside of the outer diffuser tube to create an annular space between an outer surface of the inner diffuser tube and an inner surface of the outer diffuser tube.
