摘要： A separation conveyor (10) for separating a mass or slurry of different sized particles is provided. The separation conveyor includes a filter belt (12) including a feed side for receiving the mass or slurry and a filtrate side. The separation conveyor further includes a conveyor assembly (16) for conveying the filter belt, an overhead spray array (28) for spraying fluid downwards onto the slurry as it travels on the filter belt, and a lower spray array (30) for spraying fluid upwards against an underside of the belt. The upper and lower spray arrays are arranged in combination to assist in promoting separation of oversized particles on the feed side of the belt and undersized particles on the filtrate side of the belt.

摘要： The application relates to an information transfer system, comprising a receiver (3) and a transmitter (1) for transferring an information signal to the receiver (3) via a transfer medium (2). The information signal comprises main data and sub data. The sub data comprises coded text lines having a plurality of character codes. The system enables that significant parts of the text information available in the sub data can be shown on both a full multi-line display units for displaying full text lines and a 1-line display with a relative small number of digits. The invention is very suitable for systems with small sized receivers, such as e.g. portable players and car radios, and receivers with a display on its remote controller, because there is not much space available for a display unit.

摘要： A pressure diffuser includes in a liquid-tight pressurized vessel a vertical screen and which screen and vessel wall define first and second interior volumes for transmitting pulp from a pulp inlet to a pulp outlet and receiving displacement (e.g. wash or bleach) liquid transmitted from headers through the pulp. The screen ends have different cross-sectional areas, and quick movement of the screen effects backflushing. The volumes are segregated by a vertical, generally cylindrical, screen. A chamber is provided in communication on opposite sides of a piston therein with the pulp adjacent the pulp inlet and the extracted liquid. By displacing the piston immediately prior to rapidly moving the screen vertically to effect backflushing through the screen, the pulp pressure on the screen is being reduced and at the same time a volume is made available adjacent the pulp inlet in the chamber thus avoiding pressure shocks and compaction of the pulp adjacent the inlet caused by the movement of the screen.

摘要： A pressure diffuser for paper pulp includes a vertical pressurizable liquid-tight vessel having a pulp inlet at the bottom and a pulp outlet at the top. One or more ring shaped screen elements providing first and second concentric screen surfaces, are vertically mounted within the vessel. A number of radially extending header arms mount the screen elements for movement in the vessel and in fluid communication with it. A first linear actuator effects reciprocation of the arms. A cylinder, open at both ends, is affixed to the arms and extends both above and below them, and a piston is disposed within the cylinder, below the arms. A second linear actuator is operatively connected to the piston to effect reciprocation of the piston in the cylinder. A guiding conduit surrounds the open end of the cylinder above the arms and guides reciprocation of the cylinder and transports liquid from the arms to an effluent outlet. A perforated jacket surrounding the guiding conduit, nozzles at the vessel wall, and the like introduce liquid into the vessel for treatment of the pulp. The ring shaped screen element is connected to the arms in a manner to allow the best liquid communication between them. In this way pulp can be effectively treated in a pressurized vessel while the screens for treating the pulp are periodically backflushed without causing a surge within the vessel.

摘要： A shower pipe for a rotary drum filter includes a fiberglass pipe body of rectangular cross section with two rows of spray holes and with the holes of one row being staggered with respect to the holes of the other row. The upper row includes a separate diffusion flange for each hole. The lower row includes a continuous diffusion flange which is reinforced and rigid to resist deflection and serve as a striker to limit the thickness of pulp stock passing upwardly by the flange. The lower flange includes a flexible flange extension which extends to the pulp mat on the drum to limit heat loss from the spray of washer fluid. Different diffusion flanges on the same pipe define different spray trajectories to prevent overconcentration of spray impinging the mat.

摘要： A shower pipe for a rotary drum filter has a square cross-sectional shape defined by top, bottom and side walls. The sidewalls and a pair of lengthwise-extending continuous diffusion flanges depending from the bottom wall of the pipe stiffen the pipe against sag for placement at a 12 o'clock position spanning the filter drum. The pipe is formed of fiberglass reinforced plastic in two longitudinally-divided hollow sections in a pair of mirror image, trough-like molds. Each section has a pair of interconnection flanges for mating the sections together. The interconnection flanges extend normally to the sidewalls to stiffen the pipe when the bottom wall of the pipe is vertically-oriented for placing the pipe at a 9 o'clock position along one side of the filter durm. Glass rods are secured in the interior corners of the pipe to provide diagonal rigidity, for placing the pipe at, e.g., 10-11 o'clock position between the top and side of the filter drum. Before assembly of the sections, funnel-shaped discharge holes are formed in two staggered rows in the bottom wall of the lower section. The outer surface of the bottom wall is molded so that the diffusion flanges can be precisely aligned tangentially with the outlet side of the discharge holes.

摘要： An improved stock washer for removing impurities from a porous mat disposed over a vacuum head is disclosed. In one application in connection with an industrial paper making process, paper pulp forms a porous mat over a rotating drum which has a vacuum on the inside. The washer includes an elongate housing, defining a chamber therein, disposed above the drum with a slot along its bottom and resilient, downwardly-extending wipers at the slot edges, Water flows into a pipe extending the length of the chamber. The pipe has holes along its sides to direct water into the chamber downwardly and outwardly. The pipe, which extends through the ends of the housing, is mounted to adjustable mounts at both ends to allow the washer height above the mat to be adjusted. Water flows through the holes in the pipe and accumulates at the chamber bottom where it is directed into the mat by the resilient wipers. The water flows through the mat into the drum displacing chemical impurities in the process. The wipers can be attached at an angle relative to the washer so that the washer may be placed other than centered directly above the drum while the chamber remains vertical, thus allowing a number of spaced apart washers to be used. A bracketing mechanism is also disclosed which allows the wipers to be easily attached to the washer.
