    摘要: The invention relates to a heat-exchanger (10) incorporating circulation tubes (16) for conducting a first heat-transfer medium, end plates (12), and surface-enlarging plate-like fins (14) secured to the outer peripheral surfaces of the circulation tubes and arranged to be contacted with a second heat-transfer medium, the fins being firmly secured to a plurality of circulation tube sections, which extend through registering holes (18) formed in the fins (14). The fins are secured to the tube sections by expanding the tubes so as to enlarge the periphery thereof. The contact surfaces of the fins about the inside periphery of the holes (18) which engage against the circulation tubes (16) are cylindrical and extend parallel to the longitudinal axis of the circulation tubes over at least a greater part of the axial extent of the holes, which affords stable attachment and good heat-transfer properties. The tube sections may be interconnected to provide the desired flow path(s), by tube elbows welded to the projecting ends of the tube sections. The whole of the heat-exchanger (10) is coated with an impervious, protective surface layer, for example enamel, applied after the tube sections have been expanded to their final configuration.

    摘要: An apparatus and process for forming heat-transfer elements wherein platelike fins are secured to the outside wall of a heat-transfer tube. There is provided a bullet-shaped tool which is axially slidably inserted into the heat-transfer tube to effect radial expansion thereof into gripping engagement with the surrounding fins. The tool is freely rotatably supported on the end of a pushing rod, and the peripheral surface of the tool has spiral grooves therein which define small teeth therebetween. By axially pushing the tool into the tube, the teeth bite into the internal wall of the tube and, due to the helical orientation of these teeth, the axial displacement of the tool into the tube causes the tool to simultaneously rotate. This causes not only radial expansion of the tube for gripping the fins, but simultaneously results in the formation of spiral-like grooves on the internal wall of the tube.

    摘要: An arrangement for drawing transverse ribs onto smooth pipes, comprises a punch arranged to produce transverse ribs; a drive provided for driving the punch; a drawing bank carrying smooth pipes to be provided with ribs; driving chain means movable from the punch drive and including at least two continuously rotatable endless driver chains extending at a distance from one another and driving the transverse ribs; driving chain wheels arranged for driving the driver chains at their one end, the driving chain wheels having a driving shaft; and a coupling provided between the punch drive and the driving chain wheels at a drawing bank end which is opposite to the punch, the coupling including two claw discs which are bringable in form-locking and force-transmitting engagement with one another, one of the claw discs being freely rotatably arranged on the driving shaft on the driving chain wheel and at least indirectly actuatable from the punch drive, the other of the claw discs being connected with the driving shaft for joint rotation therewith, the other claw disc being axially displaceable under the action of a spring force in one axial direction and under the action of a fluid in the other axial direction on the driving shaft.

    摘要: A process of manufacturing fin tubes consisting in cutting series of metal plates of desired length from metal strips, feeding said plates in a guide towards the outer periphery of a tube and fastening the plates e.g. by welding by their end edges in a circular or helical row onto the outer surface of the tube, so that the length of the plates corresponds to the height of the fin formed of the plates, thus permitting the adjustment of the height of the fin solely by cutting metal plates of different length from one single strip or strips of the same width. A machine for performing the process consists of a device for feeding loose metal plates cut from a strip of determined width in a row into a gutter-like guide, means for moving said plates along said guide in desired spacing relation towards the outer periphery of a tube, means for rotating said tube and possibly also for longitudinal displacement thereof relative to said gutter-like and means for welding said metal plates with their end edges onto the tube in a row to form a fin thereon.
