There is provided a manufacturing apparatus and a manufacturing method for a stretch-formed product which can improve the yield of material in the stretch forming performed while clamping the blank by the lock beads. The manufacturing apparatus for a stretch-formed product includes a die and a blank holder which have clamping surfaces facing each other, a punch that, in a state where a margin of a blank of a sheet material is clamped by the clamping surfaces of the die and the blank holder, relatively presses a forming region of the blank into the die and thereby performs stretch forming on the forming region of the blank, and lock beads that are provided on the clamping surfaces of the die and the blank holder in mutually similar shapes and have first surfaces, second surfaces that intersect with the first surfaces, and third surfaces that intersect with the second surfaces from outer edges toward the centers of the die and the blank holder, the first surfaces each having a plurality of depression-protrusion parts.

An apparatus for manufacturing filters and inserting the filters into single dose capsules for preparing beverages comprises a punching and forming device for punching material portions from a sheet material and forming the material portions to assume the form of a beaker-shaped filters, an insertion device arranged in a distance of the punching and forming device along a work flow direction for inserting the formed filters into the capsules, a first transport device (175, 176) for accepting a plurality of formed filters from the punching and forming device and transporting the accepted filters to the insertion device, a second transport device (177) for accepting a plurality of formed filters from the punching and forming device and transporting the accepted filters to the insertion device. The first transport device (175, 176) and the second transport device (177) are movable with respect to each other.

Furthermore, it allows for geometries of the punching and forming device and of the insertion device where the respective distances between neighbouring punching and forming tools as well as neighbouring insertion tools may be different.

A method of manufacturing ductile sheet material brackets (12) comprises cutting out the shape of a plurality of brackets (12) in a single piece of ductile sheet material (10) except for frangible retaining means (28) retaining the brackets (12) on the piece of ductile sheet material (10). The components (12) are arranged within the piece of ductile sheet material (10) such that the bend lines (14) of the brackets (12) are arranged in at least one common bend line (16,18). The piece of ductile sheet material (10) is bent about the at least one common bend line (16,18) to bend a plurality of brackets (12) in a single operation. The frangible retaining means (28) are subsequently broken to allow removal of the brackets (12) from the piece of ductile sheet material (10). This reduces manufacturing costs and increases usage of the ductile sheet material (10).

A method of making a metal reinforcing member that is to be mounted on a leading edge or a trailing edge of a composite blade of a turbine engine, the method including: shaping two metal sheets, positioning them on either side of a core including at least one recess that is to form a mold for a spacer for positioning the reinforcing member, assembling them together under a vacuum, conforming them against the core by hot isostatic compression, and cutting them to separate the reinforcing member and release the core.

The bodymaker includes a housing assembly and an operating mechanism structured to move a number of ram assemblies over a vertical path of travel. The operating mechanism includes a crankshaft, a motor, a link assembly, and a number of ram assemblies. The crankshaft is rotatably coupled to the housing assembly and includes a number of pairs of crankpin journals. The motor is operatively coupled to said crankshaft. The link assembly includes a number of links. Each ram assembly includes an elongated ram body, each ram body structured to move over a ram path. Links from said link assembly extend between, and movably couple, each crankshaft crankpin journal to a ram body.

An apparatus, system and method for manufacturing metal parts, where input material is received from several material sources, multiple metal parts are produced at the same time, and the multiple metal parts may be provided to a downstream operation for subsequent processing. According to an exemplary embodiment, unwinding apparatuses unwind metal coils and provide three separate metal strips to coil-fed metal forming press. The coil-fed metal forming press then creates three separate blanks or metal parts at the same time. Next, a part transfer apparatus retrieves the three metal parts from an output side of coil-fed metal forming press, and presents them to part assembly apparatus, which may include a laser welder or other piece of equipment. Once the metal parts are properly positioned, part assembly apparatus can create a metal part assembly from the three individual blanks.
