    摘要: An acrylic polisher includes: a base with two oppositely disposed sideboards with a notch on each of them and a disposition surface in between, a cutting blade set performing a cutting process along the edge of the disposition surface, a stopping board driven by a driving device to move up and downs with respect to the disposition surface. When the stopping board moves downward to the side of the disposition surface, a machining span is formed between the stopping board and the disposition surface. Therefore, as the stopping board lowers to the side of the base, the operator only needs to push an acrylic object toward the stopping board and can quickly obtain the required machining span. The notches on the sideboards of the base form an open space around the disposition surface. The length of the acrylic object is thus not restricted.

    摘要: The finishing machine of the present invention includes a drive assembly for moving a coated object longitudinally across a base at a predetermined speed and a finishing assembly connected to the base to contact at least a portion of the coating as the object moves across the base to raise the temperature of the coating to about its thermoplastic range for a predetermined time and to finish the coating during that time to a desired uniform finish. The finishing assembly includes a revolving brush having nylon bristles impregnated with a suitable abrasive. For moldings, the brush is mounted to a frame which is adjustable above the base to vary the height of the brush above the base and its angle with respect to the base. Edge finishing brushes may also be included on the base for finishing edges of the object as it passes through the machine. The method and apparatus are suitable for small objects, such as moldings, or large objects, such as doors. Large objects float between horizontally spaced, vertical brushes for uniform application of pressure.

    摘要: Embodiments of the invention abrade the information bearing surface of a compact disc (CD), DVD or other digital information bearing disk, in order to render it unreadable by standard consumer grade disk readers. This is accomplished via embodiments of the invention that are extremely lightweight, highly portable and inexpensive. Embodiments may or may not employ an outer case in order to retain the remnants of the abraded information layer of the disk. In order to operate one embodiment of the invention, the apparatus is opened and a compact disc is inserted with the face of the disk against the abrasive mechanism. After closing the apparatus, the outer housing of the apparatus is rotated with sufficient pressure against the abrasive mechanism in order to cause the substrate to be damaged sufficiently to render it unreadable by consumer based disk readers. The apparatus can be opened over a trash bin in order to empty both the disk and the particulate matter generated by the abrasive process. The apparatus may be rotated by hand or by motor in various embodiments. A case-less embodiment of the invention exists that comprises the abrasive mechanism and a post that fits into the center hole of the disk. Since there is no outer case coupled to the apparatus in this embodiment, the embodiment may be held over a trash bin while abrading the disk in order to dispose of the particulate matter resulting from the abrading process. In order to operate this embodiment, a disk is inserted into the opening between the abrader and post supporter and the post engages the hole in the center of the disk. The disk is then rotated in order to abrade the information bearing portion of the disk. When the disk has been abraded to the satisfaction of the user, the disk is disengaged from the post and the disk is removed and disposed of.

    摘要: An apparatus is provided for removing material from the sidewall of a tire. The apparatus may be used for removing the thin layer of black rubber that normally covers the white letters or white stripe of the sidewall of a newly cured tire, and for buffing the surfaces of such white letters or stripes to give them a smooth finish. The apparatus may also be used for buffing black portions of a tire sidewall to give those portions a smooth finish. The apparatus includes a cutting device and a sensor mounted on a moveable carriage. The sensor measures the distance between the cutting device and a portion of the tire sidewall adjacent to the portion to be buffed. As the tire rotates while it is being buffed, the carriage moves in response to the sensor's measurement toward or away from the tire sidewall, so that the cutting device removes material at a constant height relative to the adjacent portion of the sidewall.

It includes a casing (14) containing a tool-carrier head (15) which rotates inside the casing adopting a floating arrangement for smoothly and uniformly pressing the piece to grind, advancing along the whole of the piece and following the geometry of its surface.The casing (14) incorporates a nozzle (16) for connecting the inside of the casing to a suction hose for the dust and other particles produced.
