摘要： A riveting device comprises an inner guide sleeve having a push rod thereinside; an outer guide sleeve sleeving the inner guide sleeve; a hold ring disposed inside and tightly pressed against the outer guide sleeve; and a driver. The screw body of a screw is inserted through the outer guide sleeve and hold ring and screwed into a river nut. The screw head is disposed inside the inner guide sleeve and tightly pressed against the hold ring by the push rod. The driver is combined with the inner guide sleeve and drives the inner guide sleeve, push rod, outer guide sleeve, hold ring, screw and rivet nut to move jointly and rivet the rivet nut. The present invention is characterized in using the push rod, hold ring and outer guide sleeve to secure the screw and exemption from the limitation by the size or shape of the screw head.

These in particular are applicable to the assembly of aircraft structures.

摘要： A positioning assembly of a hand rivet nut tool has a rotating sleeve, a mandrel and a positioning ring. The rotating sleeve has a mounting groove formed around an inner surface of the rotating sleeve. The mandrel is mounted through the rotating sleeve and has a positioning groove formed around an outer surface of the mandrel. The positioning ring is mounted in and around the mounting groove of the rotating sleeve and the positioning groove of the mandrel. The mandrel is stably held by the positioning ring in a specific position, so the hand rivet nut tool is able to stably rivet a rivet nut on a work piece. The hand rivet nut tool with the positioning assembly has simplified and optimized positioning effect, and reduced assembling time and cost.

摘要： A blind fastener for securing a plurality of workpieces is provided that has a sleeve, and a pin member. In an alternate embodiment, the blind fastener has a sleeve, a pin member and a nut. The sleeves have a head with a plurality of rearwardly sloping recesses disposed therein. The recesses are adapted to be engaged with a plurality of rearwardly sloping nibs disposed on one end of a nose secured to an installation tool. The pin members have a splined head adapted to be engaged with a splined driver secured to an installation tool. Use of the splined head on the pin member, the splined driver, rearwardly sloping recesses on the sleeve, and rearwardly sloping nibs on the nose eliminates camming out of the nibs from the recesses during installation of the blind fastener. A nose assembly for installation of the blind fastener is also provided.

摘要： A tool and method for installing collapsible inserts. The tool includes a stabilizing handle which is threaded onto a tool body. The tool body is threaded onto a tool shaft. In use, a collapsible insert is threaded onto the tool and the insert is positioned in a hole in a workpiece. An actuating handle of the tool is then rotated, while holding the stabilizing handle, to cause the collapsible insert to collapse, thereby installing the insert relative to the workpiece. Once the insert has been collapsed using the tool, the actuating handle is rotated in the opposite direction, while holding the stabilizing handle, to disengage the tool from the insert. Then, a hanger is threadably inserted into the collapsed insert and a threaded rod is threaded into the hanger. Alternatively, the threaded rod is directly threadably engaged with the collapsed insert, without need for a hanger.

摘要： A tool for effecting the sealing or plugging of a hole in an object, such as a coolant passage in an injection molding die. The plug includes a flexible, hollow cylindrical sleeve and a core member longitudinally interengageable into the sleeve. The core member is slightly larger than the bore of the sleeve and when drawn into the sleeve expands it to fill the hole and secure the plug. The plug may be used either internally as a diverting plug or externally as a sealing plug. The inserting tool is designed to position the plug in the hole as desired, and to interengage the core member into the sleeve. The plug is inserted into the hole with the sleeve and core member separate. Then the sleeve is supported in position and the core is interengaged into the sleeve.

摘要： This invention provides an installation tool for a fastener that includes a nut and a tubular portion having an external knurl, the tool including an internally and externally threaded sleeve, a screw extending through the sleeve and engageable with the nut of the fastener, and an internally threaded element engaging the external threads of the sleeve and having an abutment surface at one end. Advancement of the internally threaded element causes the screw to move the fastener axially, forcing its tubular portion into an opening in a workpiece. The sleeve has a die surface at one end and is then advanced to engage the end of the tubular portion of the fastener for bending it outwardly to form a flange.
