A border between the first portion and the second portion is located in a recess formed when the substrate is molded. A method of forming a panel also is disclosed. The method includes moving a first mold section toward a second mold section so that a projection of the mold pushes a portion of the flexible member at least partially into a recess of the mold, and injecting a polymer resin between the flexible member and the first mold section so that the border is located in the recess.

The method comprises the following steps: (a) production of the first moulded part (10) from a first plastic by injection moulding or compression injection moulding or in-mould compression, in such a way that the first moulded part (10) has at least one elevation (11′) on one side; (b) placing of the second moulded part (15) against the first moulded part (10) in such a way that the respective elevation (11′) is located on the edge (16) of the second moulded part (15); and (c) application of a layer of a second plastic (21) to the opposite side of the second moulded part (15) from the first moulded part (10) by the injection moulding, injection compression moulding or back compression moulding of the second plastic (21), in such a way that both one surface of the elevation (11′) and the second moulded part (15) are at least partially covered by the layer and that the first plastic and second plastic (21) form a union that holds the two moulded parts (10, 15) together in the vicinity of the elevation (11′).
