摘要： An improved plate clamping assembly for a duplicating machine which utilizes a pivoted or cantilevered beam in the leading edge plate clamp assembly and a calibrated cocking screw to enabling skewing of the plate on the plate cylinder by moving one end of the pivoted or cantilevered beam. The improved assembly also coordinates the leading and trailing edge assemblies during installation of the plate by automatically adjusting the trailing edge plate clamp assembly to accommodate for an adjustment in skewing of the leading edge of the plate by the leading edge clamp assembly. Finally, it utilizes spring assemblies to enable self-adjustment for different plate thicknesses.

摘要： A sheet is disposed around the outer peripheral surface of a drum. The drum is provided with sheet suction holes for attracting the sheet against the drum surface. The sheet suction holes extend through the drum from the interior to the exterior thereof, and are disposed in a plurality of circumferentially spaced rows. Each of the rows includes a plurality of sheet suction holes and is connected to suction means, which is operable to withdraw air outside the drum into the interior thereof through the row of suction holes. At least the leading edge of the sheet is retained by a sheet seizing claw which is movable toward or away from the drum surface. The claw is urged into abutment against the drum surface under the influence of a centrifugal force as the drum rotates.

摘要： A flexible sheet clamped at one end to a rotary drum to permit rotation of the drum with the sheet entrained therearound is unloaded from the drum by reversing drum rotation and providing a separating member which comes between the drum surface and an opposite end portion of the sheet and progressively lifts the sheet from that surface as reverse drum rotation continues, the means clamping the sheet to the drum being released before the clamped sheet end reaches the separating member.

摘要： A clamping device for a printing plate mountable on a plate cylinder of an offset printing machine and having perforations formed at leading and trailing edges thereof, as viewed in direction of sheet travel through the machine, the clamping device includes clamping bars formed with hooks respectively engageable in the perforations formed in the printing plates, the clamping bars being disposed in a channel formed in the plate cylinder, one of the clamping bars being pivotable about a pivot point diagonally to a longitudinal direction of the plate cylinder, the pivot point being located in the cylinder channel substantially on a center line of the cylinder extending transversely to the longitudinal direction thereof, and adjusting means mounted in the cylinder channel for moving another one of the clamping bars in the longitudinal direction of the cylinder, the other clamping bar having additional degrees of freedom of movement accommodating an accompanying diagonal movement which respect to the longitudinal direction of the cylinder and a clamping movement in circumferential direction of the cylinder.

摘要： A printing plate holding device for an offset duplicator. The device includes a base slidably positioned on one side of a grooved portion of a plate cylinder of the duplicator. A clamp plate is secured to the base and a clamp lever is attached to the clamp plate. A latch is loosely secured to a pin attached to the clamp lever and connected to a spring to provide a plate clamping force upon the clamp plate. A guide plate and a plate release preventing plate are attached to an outer longitudinal side of the base. An axial displacement control device is positioned at one longitudinal end of the cylinder while a circumferential displacement control device is positioned at the other longitudinal end thereof.
