    摘要: A vibration damper for a vehicle chassis may comprise a damper tube, a piston rod that is movable in an oscillating manner in an axial direction in the damper tube, a working piston disposed on the piston rod, and a closure package that closes the damper tube and through which the piston rod is guided. A spring element that is disposed in a region between the working piston and the closure package may comprise an annular basic body that surrounds the piston rod to form an annular chamber, an upper side facing the closure package, and a lower side facing the working piston. To reduce vibrations and noise from reaching a vehicle body, the spring element may include a lip element on the upper and/or lower side, and a spring rigidity of the lip element may be lower than a rigidity of the annular basic body.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a strut mount interposed between a vehicle body and a piston rod of a shock absorber of a suspension. The strut mount includes an interior member passed through by and fixed to the piston rod; an exterior member including a cylindrical part surrounding the interior member, and a bottom formed in a ring shape by extending radially inward from a lower end of the cylindrical part, an elastic member formed in a ring shape between the interior member and the exterior member, and sandwiched between a part of the vehicle body or an upper member and the bottom of the exterior member; and a positioner radially positioning the elastic member. The elastic member is not in contact with the cylindrical part of the exterior member over its entire axial length and over its entire circumference.

    摘要: An adjustment control for adjusting a damping curve of a shock absorber includes an aperture seat coupled to a base of the shock absorber. The aperture seat defines a flow tube. A plug, in mechanical communication with a spring, slidably engages the flow tube. A plug nut is threadably coupled to an adjustment nut shaft stud and is in mechanical communication with the spring. An adjustment nut is coupled to the base. The adjustment nut has a non-circular cavity to receive at least a portion of the adjustment nut shaft stud and at least a portion of the non-circular region of the plug nut such that the plug nut cannot rotate relative to the non-circular cavity of the adjustment nut. An adjustment knob causes rotation of the adjustment nut shaft stud. The rotation of the adjustment nut shaft stud causes axial movement of the plug nut.

    摘要: A damper assembly for a vehicle suspension system includes a damper and a valve block coupled to the damper. The damper includes a tubular sidewall having an inner surface that defines an inner damper volume and a plunger separating the inner damper volume into a compression chamber and an extension chamber. The valve block includes a housing having a spring pilot and defining a flow path between an inlet port and an outlet port. The inlet port is in fluid communication with at least one of the compression chamber and the extension chamber. The damper assembly further includes a flow controller coupled to the housing and positioned along the flow path and a piston having a pilot end coupled to the spring pilot and an interface end that engages the flow controller with a pilot force that varies based on a pressure at the spring pilot.

    摘要: A ride control system includes a shock absorber having a movable piston that divides the shock absorber into a lower and an upper volume and a center check valve that allows fluid to flow from the upper to the lower volume. A back pressure actuator provides a selectable back pressure to the lower volume. Three two way valves and a check valve allow the lower and upper volumes to be selectively coupled to either the selectable back pressure or a shock absorber fluid reservoir to provide passive, semi-active, or active ride control. The back pressure actuator pressurizes a hydraulic accumulator when shock absorber fluid flows into the back pressure actuator to provide energy recovery.
