摘要： A T-top roof assembly for a vehicle includes a roof member defining at least one vehicle-inboard insert edge receiver and at least one removable insert having an insert receiver-engaging edge and an opposed stiffener edge. A latch mechanism is included, adapted to secure the opposed stiffener edge to the roof member. The opposed stiffener edge includes a structural load path-supporting member. The latch mechanism comprises at least one spring-loaded pin, clip, bolt, or rotary latch and a cooperating latch receiver or striker, variously carried by the opposed stiffener edge and the roof member.

摘要： A removable panel system for easily and efficiently varying the configuration of a cabin on a vehicle. The removable panel system generally includes a vehicle having a cab defined by a frame. Different panels may be selectively and removably connected to the frame to form various different cab configurations to suit the different needs of different jobs or operators. A roof panel may be removably connected to the frame to form a roof of the cab. A rear window extension may extend from the roof panel to form the rear window of the cab. A door receiver panel and/or door panel may be removably connected to the frame to form one or more doors of the cab. A windshield panel may be removably connected to the frame to form a windshield for the cab. All panels are adapted to be easily and efficiently interchanged without undue effort from the operator.

摘要： In a Targa top vehicle, a detachable roof unit is supported between a front roof arch along an upper edge of a front windshield and a rear roof arch along an upper edge of a rear windshield. The roof unit is fixed to the front roof arch and the rear roof arch by engaging an axially movable front fixing pin with a pin hole of the front roof arch and engaging an axially movable rear fixing pin with a pin hole of the rear roof arch, and an opening formed in a central part of the roof unit is opened and closed by a canvas that can be unfolded and folded. Accordingly, it is possible to achieve a balance between an open feel of the Targa top vehicle and convenience of simply opening and closing the opening of a roof.

摘要： A tilt-up device tilts a rear end of a movable roof upwardly when the movable roof is moved from a normal position above the passenger's compartment of an automobile. The tilt-up device is mounted on a surface, which faces the passenger's compartment, of a fixed roof substantially centrally thereon in a transverse direction of the automobile body, and is positioned in front of a seal on the fixed roof. A trunk lid lifting and lowering device is mounted in a trunk and connected to an end of a trunk lid for selectively lifting the trunk lid away from a trunk and lowering the trunk lid toward the trunk. The trunk lid lifting and lowering device has a stopper device for inactivating the trunk lid lifting and lowering device when the trunk lid is locked by a lock device with the trunk lid lowered. The trunk lid has a roof storage region for storing the movable roof which has moved from the normal position, and a roof slide device having an engaging pin for entering a hole defined in the movable roof and opening at one end thereof. A device is mounted in the movable roof for connecting the engaging pin inserted in the hole to the movable roof to lift an end of the movable roof opposite to the hole.

The lock device has first and second lock pins which are caused to appear and disappear in synchronism with each other in directions opposite to each other by means of a control lever through a first lever, a second lever and connecting mechanisms. 摘要： A device for locking a detachable roof in a motor vehicle to a vehicle body. The lock device has first and second lock pins caused to appear from or disappear into the detachable roof in synchronism in directions opposite to each other by means of a control lever through first and second levers. These lock pins are inserted into lock holes formed in the vehicle body, whereby the detachable roof is fixed. The lock device further includes: a pawl capable of taking an abutting position where the pawl abuts against at least one of the first and second levers to prevent the levers from being rotated in a direction unlocking the detachable roof, and a releasing position where the pawl is not engaged with the lever; a spring for biasing the pawl in a direction in which the forward end of the pawl abuts against the lever; a release lever made engageable with the pawl only in a direction driving the forward end of the pawl to the releasing position; and a key-locking device having a key cylinder, a key cylinder lever of which can take a locking position where the key cylinder lever prevents the release lever from rocking in a direction driving the pawl and a releasing position where the key cylinder lever does not interfere with the release lever.

摘要： An anti-theft mechanism for a handle operated latching mechanism of a removable automobile roof panel of the type in which the handle is located in a recessed well in the panel trim molding and the handle pivots to latch and unlatch the panel. The anti-theft mechanism includes a keeper plate. The keeper plate is curved laterally so that it extends substantially the entire length of the well and conforms closely to the contour of the panel molding to prevent access to the handle in the recessed well. In a modification, the keeper plate forms the top, front and end walls of a housing which is seated in the recessed well and encloses the handle.
