摘要： A fuel tank assembly for a motorcycle. The fuel tank assembly includes a fuel tank defining a fuel containment volume. The fuel tank has an upper wall. A fuel cap is operable to selectively open and close the fuel containment volume. A motorcycle accessory is attachable to the fuel tank via a connection structure including first and second connection portions that are complementary and inter-engageable together to positively define a fully-secured state. The first connection portion is secured to an exterior surface of the upper wall of the fuel tank, and the second connection portion is secured to the motorcycle accessory. The connection structure defines a finite position and rotational orientation of the motorcycle accessory upon relative rotation of the motorcycle accessory with respect to the fuel tank to the fully secured state.

摘要： A fuel filler system for use in a vehicle is provided. The system includes a fuel filler tube, a locking bracket coupled to an inner surface of the fuel filler tube, and a closure device coupleable within the tube end and including an outer wall and a radially movable tab extending from the outer wall. The tab engages the locking bracket after rotation of the closure device from a first rotational position to a second rotational position to prevent rotation of the closure device relative to the locking bracket. The closure device further includes a web flexibly connecting the tab to the outer wall and a region of weakness defined in the web, such that upon forcible rotation of the closure device from the second rotational position to the first rotational position, the region of weakness facilitates separation of the web from the outer wall.

An example fuel fill apparatus includes a body defining a fuel fill passageway, a first plurality of longitudinal ribs positioned in the fuel fill passageway, and a second plurality of longitudinal ribs positioned adjacent the first longitudinal ribs. The first and second longitudinal ribs position an end of a fuel nozzle in the fuel fill passageway. A deflector is positioned in the fuel fill passageway adjacent an end of the first and second plurality of ribs to direct fuel vapors away from an aspirator of the fuel nozzle when the fuel nozzle is inserted in the fuel fill passageway.

摘要： The invention relates to a mechanical barrier which prevents tampering with a filler pipe on an underground storage tank for gasoline, fuel, chemicals, or other valuable liquids. The barrier fits within a cylindrical metal liner that surrounds the filler pipe. The barrier includes two spaced posts with semi-circular brackets at their lower ends, for securement about the filler pipe. An annular plate is secured between the upper ends of the post. A lock fits into a cut-out in the plate. A plunger within the lock is extended through an opening at the upper end of one post to maintain the barrier in locked position around the filler pipe, to prevent unauthorized withdrawal of or tampering with the contents of the tank.
