摘要： A trim assembly, such as a center console for a vehicle, includes a base portion, a cover portion and a holding unit. The cover portion defines a cover opening, and is attached to the base portion. The holding unit is disposed between the cover portion and the base portion, and is rotatably supported by the base portion for rotation about a rotation axis between a bin storage position and a cup-holder storage position. A bin storage position presents a bin aperture defined by a first side of the holding unit adjacent the cover opening to provide access to an open interior region of the holding unit through the cover opening for storage. A cup-holder storage position presents a cup aperture defined by a second side of the holding unit adjacent the cover opening to secure a cup within the interior region of the holding unit.

A pair of spaced apart ribs extending vertically between the base and the top across the open back and a slidable element disposed between the ribs enable vertical positioning of the housing in front of the grill. Arms, separate from the housing, are provided for engaging the grill and including an interconnecting portion for removably engaging a slidable/deflecting element.

The container holder assembly comprises a carrier portion adapted to be selectably fastened to the floor tray of the vehicle and includes at least one recessed opening formed therein for receiving a beverage container. At least one container receptor portion is adapted to be telescopically engaged and retained within the at least one opening formed in the carrier portion wherein the at least one container receptor portion is adjustable between an extended and collapsed position relative to the carrier portion as desired by the user.

摘要： An object holder assembly for a vehicle trim component has a vehicle trim body having an opening formed therein. A panel is movably mounted relative to the opening for movement between a retracted position and an extended position in the opening. The panel has a slot formed therein with the slot and the body being configured for receiving and supporting an object therein. The vehicle trim body defines a recess for receiving an object therein, and further can include a plurality of panels, each of the panels being slidably positioned within the recess for movement between the extended and retracted positions. Each of the panels also has a slot formed through a surface of the panel and each lower slot is successively smaller than each successively upper slot. The slots can have differently shaped slots formed therein and the plurality of panels can be stacked in a generally vertical manner.

Additionally, the taper may be curved. The container may also include a mechanism for maintaining a position of the outer sleeve with respect to the inner housing. The mechanism may be a ratchet.

摘要： The present invention provides a method of manufacturing a vehicle cup holder arm, and a vehicle cup holder assembly produced thereby. The method includes injection molding a first material to form a base including an attachment feature adapted for engagement within an aperture adjacent a cup holder opening in a vehicle. A second material is injection molded to form an arm cup around the base and includes an arm. The second material does not chemically bond to the first material so that the arm cup and arm are rotatable with respect to the base for adjustably securing a cup in the cup holder opening. A third material is injection molded onto the arm to form a soft rubber grip for engaging a cup. The cup holder arm may be movable vertically for adjustment with respect to differently-sized cups.
