The linkage mechanism is operably coupled to the shelf and the pin. Placement of the container on the container chassis moves the shelf causing the linkage mechanism to move the pin such that the pin automatically secures the container to the container chassis.

A container securement device enables a user to secure a cargo container to a carrier deck. The device includes a base having a projecting shear block received in the lock-actuating opening of the container. A shaft-mounted head rotates between an unlocked or loading position in which the head moves through the locking opening and a locked position in which the container is secured. Automatic entry and release are provided by a selected interchangeable spring element within the base biasing the head to the locked position but permitting movement to the unlocked position when torque is applied by engagement of the container with a cam surface on the head. The spring element may be interchanged as may be required by anticipated climactic and/or temperature conditions. Each spring element is actuable by a uniquely configured shaft member having a spring-receiving end capable of cooperating with at least two types of springs.

The present invention is to provide a coupling lock comprising a lock base having a hole. A core member is received in the hole of the lock base and has a core plug at an end thereof running out of the hole of the lock base. A driving member has two driving portions respectively at opposite ends thereof. The driving member is coupled with the core member at the distal end of the core plug. A locking assembly has two locking members and two elastic members. Each of the locking members has two lateral ends pivoted on the lock base and a hooking portion. The elastic members have ends thereof fixed on the lock base and the other ends thereof resting against the locking members respectively. A housing has a stepped central hole to receive the core member in a larger section thereof and to secure the core member therein, and a locking plug has a connecting end inserted into a small section of the center hole of the housing and an annular locking slot for receiving the hooking portions of the locking members.
