    摘要: Brake modulators for parking brake systems of work vehicles are provided. A brake modulator includes a housing defining a fluid chamber, an auxiliary chamber, a fluid inlet channel, and a fluid outlet channel. The brake modulator further includes a piston disposed within the housing between the fluid chamber and the auxiliary chamber. The piston is movable between a first position wherein the fluid chamber has a first volume and a second position wherein the fluid chamber has a second volume greater than the first volume. The brake modulator further includes a biasing element providing a biasing force on the piston towards the first position, a rod extending between a first end disposed within the housing and a second end disposed exterior to the housing, and a handle connected to the second end of the rod. The rod is manually actuatable to move the piston between the first and second positions.

In order to increase the wheel brake pressure, the wheel valves are opened during a delivery stroke of the piston pump and the pump valves are closed, and the wheel valves are closed and the pump valves opened during a suction stroke. In order to reduce the wheel brake pressures, the valves are controlled in reverse.

    摘要: To make a brake device generate a required braking force, a hydraulic control section switches, according to the relative magnitude between the required braking force and a braking force exerted by braking operation, between drive of a pump motor and non-drive of the pump motor and a master cut valve reduces the flow of brake fluid in the direction to a master cylinder. By this, a wheel cylinder maintains hydraulic pressure capable of generating the required braking force. As a result, the pump motor is not necessarily always driven when the required braking force is generated, and the operating time period of the pump motor is reduced. As a result, a load on the pump motor is reduced to enhance durability of the pump motor.

    摘要: In a liquid pump for a braking system of a vehicle, one end of a piston is slidably inserted into a cylindrical space of a housing member, and a sliding ring is provided on the piston. A suction chamber is formed by an inner peripheral surface of the housing member, an outer peripheral surface of the piston and the sliding ring. An inner diameter “Dk” of the housing member is made larger than an inner diameter “Dc” of the cylindrical space. As a result, the volume of the suction chamber is increased, without making the piston smaller in its diameter.
