    摘要： An improved pallet truck, having an extended length pair of forks capable of supporting multiple, side-by-side, pallets which may be raised well above the floor to assist an operator in an order selection operation, includes a first fork lifting mechanism connected to one end of a pair of primary forks. A pair of load wheels are mounted on levers at a other end of the forks and are mechanically connected to the first fork lifting mechanism which causes the other end of the primary forks to be raised from a lower level to an upper level simultaneously with the raising of the first end thereby to maintain the primary forks level while lifting the maximum capacity of the truck. A pair of secondary forks are mounted above the primary forks and are movable from a nested position with respect to the first forks to a raised position by a second fork lifting mechanism carried by the primary forks. The ends of the secondary forks are supported by a pair of hydraulic cylinders attached between the secondary forks and the primary forks, thus providing support and rigidity to the secondary forks while they are in a raised position.

    摘要： A lifting trolley having a main frame supported on ground engaging wheels, a handle pivotally connected to the main frame and a lifting sub-frame which is vertically movable with respect to the main frame is disclosed. The sub-frame has a pair of spaced apart arms, each of which include retractable engagement means in the form of pivoting catch members that are adapted to secure a load, such as a stack of crates, to the sub-frame. Linkage means, such as a pulley and cable assembly between the handle and sub-frame, enabling pivotal movement of the handle to cause vertical movement of the sub-frame with respect to the main frame is also disclosed. The trolley includes releasable catch means, such as a first catch assembly between the handle and the main frame and a second catch assembly between the sub-frame and the main frame that is adapted to lock the sub-frame to the main frame, so that only upon release of the catch means and the pivotal movement of the handle may the sub-frame be raised or lowered to a desired height.

    摘要： Freight handling apparatus for unloading stacks of beverage containers supported on pallets within bay wells of a beverage delivery truck having floors tilted inwardly and downwardly toward the center of the truck includes a wheeled frame having an upstanding mast on which a vertically movable carriage is supported mounting a pair of forwardly projecting lifting forks engageable with the pallet load. A hydraulic lifting jack is operable for raising and lowering the forks. A hydraulic tilting jack acts between a set of rear wheels and the back of the frame for selectively elevating the back of the frame relative to the front so as to angle the fork tines downwardly from horizontal to correspond in inclination to that of the floor of the bay wells. The downward angling of the fork tines enables them to be inserted into the correspondingly angled pallet load, and the forks thereafter elevated to lift the pallet load for subsequent removal from the bay well. The apparatus also has a self-stowing feature wherein the fork tines are insertable into suitable hangers mounted to the undercarriage of the truck and the lifting cylinder being double acting for lifting the frame into engagement with the truck undercarriage for transport by the truck when not in use.
