    摘要： A container closure construction wherein a closure flange having an upstanding internally threaded cylindrical neck surrounded by a laterally extending polygonal base is mechanically inserted by means of a punch press operation within a container wall opening from the under surface thereof. A tag ring element is in the same operation secured about the exterior surface of an upwardly drawn neck surrounding the container wall opening. An outward curling of the uppermost end of the flange neck serves to tightly clamp the upwardly drawn container wall opening neck between the flange and the tag ring element.

    摘要： Metal containers, particularly for beer, have been made from stainless steel which is compatible with beer or aluminium which is specially coated to make a compatible inner surface. The stainless steel container is expensive when the wall thickness is such as to withstand rough handling and the cheaper aluminium container has a limited life depending on the internal coating. The present invention provides a double wall container of which the inner wall is of thin stainless steel. The invention solves the hitherto insurmountable problems of forming a thin walled inner vessel and expanding it inside an outer vessel so that the resulting inner vessel is without crevices which would otherwise be extremely difficult to clean to meet strict hygiene regulations.

    摘要： Closure forming apparatus for simultaneously securing a closure flange and a tag ring element to a container wall in a single punch press operation. A lower die assembly is designed to support an internally threaded closure flange and an upper die assembly releasably retains a tag ring element. Closing of the die upon a container wall section permanently secures both the closure flange and tag ring element about a container wall opening.
