摘要： The lid includes a body having a top surface and a bottom surface, the top surface includes a groove therein separating an inner portion and an outer portion. The lid also includes a flexible skirt integrally joined to and carried by the outer periphery edge of the body. The groove defines a flexible zone which permits the flexible skirt to flip between a first position and a second position. The method of using the lid includes the step of positioning the lid with the flexible skirt in a second position above an open end of a container. The method further includes the step of securing the lid and the container together by moving the flexible skirt from the second position to a first position to cause engagement of the flexible skirt with the container thereby forming a removable attachment and a substantial seal between the lid and the container.

摘要： A disposable pest entry barrier and open bottle cover is constructed in various shapes, such as conical or cylindrical, having a sidewall, a closed end and an opposite open end. The bottle cover is formed from a disposable material, such as cardboard or plastic. The bottle cover is coated or sprayed with a solution consisting primarily of lemongrass essential oil. This oil solution acts as a natural repellent and deters fruit flies and other contaminating pests from entering the open end of a bottle on which the bottle cover is placed.

摘要： A plastic case for a photographic film cassette consisting of a case body having a closed bottom and an open top, and a lid to be fitted to the open top of the case body, characterized by comprising a supporting device formed integrally on an internal bottom surface of the case body. The supporting device is upwardly tapered and deformable by the photographic film cassette when the lid is fitted to the case body and depresses the photographic film cassette into the case body. The supporting device is constituted of a pair of supporting ribs whose upper ends have a thickness of 0.12 to 0.35 mm. The ribs are disposed apart from each other, and the upper ends are inclined in opposite directions to each other relative to the internal bottom surface of the case body.

摘要： A dynamic joint connection is provided between the neck region of a base and the engagement end of a cap. The neck region comprises a reduced diameter end of the base which is offset from the base outer wall by a flat ledge. Located above the ledge a first axial distance, is a first convex rib. The interior surface of the cap engagement end is provided with a cap rib which is located a third axial distance above its abutment end. The third distance will locate the cap rib against the first rib on the down-sloping portion of its surface when the cap abutment end is in contact with the neck region ledge. The compressive force of the cap ring against the first rib will cause the abutment end to be biased downwardly against the ledge. This unstable condition creates a dynamic connection that maintains its integrity throughout rough handling, internal pressures and varying ambient conditions. The neck region can include a second rib. This rib will be in sealing contact with an inner cap wall when the cap rib and first rib are engaged. The spaced-apart sealing areas create a dead air chamber therebetween and provide an additional obstacle to the escape of volatile materials or dusts that may emanate from the materials stored within the base.

摘要： A sealing cap (2, 2a) is mounted to the open mouth of a pharmaceutical-containing container (20) which is to undergo lyophilization. The container has an outwardly extending mouth ring (26) with a shoulder (28) spaced apart from and facing away from the mouth (22). The sealing cap includes a body (4, 4a) having a through hole (6) covered by a piercible septum (16). The body includes radially deflectable fingers (30, 30a) which engage the mouth ring when the cap is at an open position, at which fluid flow into and out of the interior (38) of the container is substantially unhindered. The fingers also include surfaces (42, 42a) which engage the shoulder of the mouth ring when the cap seals the container mouth. The cap is locked into place using a lock ring (44, 44a) which engages the distal ends (47, 47a) of the fingers to keep the fingers engaged beneath the mouth ring. The sealing cap moves from the open to the sealed position using straight line, axial movement with simple fixtures.
