    摘要： A material handling unit. An elongate cargo bed of the material handling unit includes paired anchor points for attaching to a securing member to secure cargo to the cargo bed. The cargo bed is reinforced to allow the cargo to be secured to the cargo bed during loading of the material handling unit onto a transport, transporting of the material handling unit to a job site, and unloading of the material handling unit from the transport. A shelter encloses the cargo bed and defines an access point along the length of the cargo bed. The cargo bed is accessible from the access points for loading and unloading cargo. The anchor points are accessible from the access point for securing the cargo to the cargo bed or removing the securing member from the cargo.

    摘要： A storage module adapter assembly includes adapter base plates that are two-person portable, can be installed/removed by hand, and cooperate with existing structures of existing modular cargo containers. Each adapter base plate includes various longitudinal and transverse frame members, as well as first and second longitudinal frame members on opposed sides thereof. The first longitudinal frame member has a first height, and the second longitudinal frame member has a second height, which is greater than the first height. Each of the first and second longitudinal frame members also include generally horizontal flange members extending from a top side thereof, such that when two adapter base plates are appropriately positioned side by side, the generally horizontal flange members on the adjacent sides of the two adapter base plates overlap due to the difference between the first and second heights. The adapter base plates can then be connected together by appropriate mechanisms.

    摘要： A retractable tow hook assembly is connected with a rectangular storage container having a vertical ramp end wall hingedly connected at its bottom edge with the container for displacement about a horizontal pivot axis from an initial vertical closed position downwardly toward an inclined loading position in engagement with the ground. The tow hook assembly includes a support plate that is externally connected with the container adjacent the hinge connection, and a hook member that is displaceable relative to the support plate between an upwardly extending towing position for engagement by the loop of a towing cable when the ramp wall is in the vertical position, and a non-obstructing downwardly-displaced retracted position when the ramp wall is in the downwardly inclined loading position. A stop arrangement prevents displacement of the tow hook member beyond the extended position.

The containers may be prepositioned at a particular location until the items stored within the container are needed. This is possible because the dual service reusable containers may be both weather resistant and lockable. The containers are designed to be stackable when loaded, reducing the footprint occupied by the containers, improving shipping efficiency, and improving the utilization of the valuable floor space. When unloaded or when partially loaded, the containers may be nested so that valuable floor space is efficiently used.

    摘要： A bulk bag transport apparatus employs a receptacle that is divided into a plurality of bulk bag holding sectors. The receptacle provides a base that is constructed of a plurality of beams such as eye beams including peripheral beams and transverse beams. Each side wall is reinforced with a plurality of inclined beams that preferably join to the transverse bottom beams, one inclined beam attaching to a transverse bottom beam. A plurality of other beams are attached to the upper edge of the receptacle and each inclined beam is structurally joined to a peripheral beam. Lifting eyes are provided along each side of the receptacle, each lifting eye performs an acute angle with an inclined beam and is preferably mounted to an inclined beam. A lifting harness includes slings that can be connected to the lifting eyes. Each side wall has an horizontal flange or a member that enables one of the receptacles to be stacked upon the other of the receptacles wherein the upper peripheral beam of one receptacle engages and supports the horizontal flange or member of another receptacle.

    摘要： A structurally reinforced railroad car is provided which interfaces with the output of a typical refuse compactor and is capable of being thus forcibly filled with compacted refuse which efficiently fills and conforms to the interior, making maximum volumetric use of the car for efficient transportation to a disposal site. At the disposal site, hydraulic cylinders of the car cause the lid assembly of the car to pivot upwardly, leaving one side and top open, while a powered ejection panel from within the car pushes the refuse toward the open side until it falls over the edge. The car is equipped with engagable seals for containment of leachant and liquids which may form or be present in the refuse.
