    摘要: A system for dispensing film wrap is disclosed, the system comprises a dispenser having a first connector portion and second connector portion spaced apart from the first connector portion. A roll of film wrap comprising a core having film wrap wound thereon is configured to extend between the first connector portion and the second connector portion. At least one end of the wall of the core and/or the edge of the film wrap is profiled and interlockable with a complimentary interlocking member located at the remote end of the first or second connector portion so as to prevent lateral movement of the film wrap with respect to the first and second connector portions of the dispenser. This beneficially reduces slippage of the film wrap when it is being used to wrap a load.

A tape-shaped elastic member is fixed on an end portion of a downstream side in a transport direction of the discharge support portion so as to extend in a width direction. An elastic friction surface is formed on the end portion of the downstream side in the transport direction of the support surface. A friction coefficient between the elastic friction surface and the recording medium is higher than the friction coefficient between a portion at an upstream side in the transport direction from the elastic friction surface in the support surface and the recording medium.

In one embodiment, a dispenser includes a rotatable spindle for supporting a first spool of material and a feedback mechanism for providing a controlled braking force to the spindle in response to changes in tension in the material being dispensed. The dispenser also can include another spindle for supporting a second spool of material. The trailing end portion of material from the first spool can be spliced to the leading end portion of material from the second spool to provide a continuous feed of material between the spools.

    摘要: This invention pertains to processing continuous webs such as paper, film, composites and the like, in dynamic continuous processing operations. More particularly, it relates to accumulating limited lengths of such continuous webs and to controlling tension in such continuous webs during the processing operation. Both tension control and limited accumulations are achieved in festoon systems by connecting corresponding movably mounted festoon rolls to an actuator, sensing parameters such as position, tension, velocity, and acceleration related to the web and the festoon, and providing active force commands, in response to the sensed variables, to cause translational movement, generally including a target acceleration, in the movably mounted festoon rolls to control tension in the web while providing limited accumulation of a length of the web. The festoon control system can be used to attenuate tension disturbances, in the alternative to create controlled tension disturbances.

    摘要: To prevent disalignment of the edges of a folded sheet by smoothly feeding the sheet to a packaging unit while keeping tension fluctuations to a minimum when the sheet is unwound from a paper roll set in a paper feed unit even though the paper roll diameter decreases gradually as the sheet is unwound. A sheet length measuring sensor or rotary encoder is provided in the paper feed path through which the packaging sheet is fed toward the packaging unit. An angle sensor is provided which includes Hall element sensors provided on a support shaft and magnets provided on a core pipe of the paper roll. Any change in the signals from one of these sensors relative to the signal from the other sensor is used to calculate the paper roll winding length, and the sheet tension is adjusted to an optimum, constant level by controlling the sheet braking force stepwise according to the roll diameter measured by the sensors.
