    摘要: There are provided a liquid jetting apparatus in which the deterioration of production efficiency is suppressed in a case in which the floating of a medium occurs, and a method of coping with the floating of a medium. A medium is fed; liquid is jetted to the medium, which is transported by a medium transport unit including a medium support surface on which the medium is supported and transporting the fed medium in a medium transport direction, by a liquid jet head; drying processing is performed on the medium, to which the liquid jetted from the liquid jet head adheres, at a position on the downstream side of the liquid jet head in the medium transport direction; and in a case in which the floating of the medium is detected at a position on the upstream side of the liquid jet head in the medium transport direction, the medium continues to be fed, the liquid jet head is moved to a retreat position from a liquid jet position, and the intensity of drying processing is suppressed in comparison with that in a liquid-drying processing-performing state in which drying processing is performed on the medium.

    摘要: A thickness measurement device for a sheet-type medium comprises: a fixing frame (1), used for installing and bearing the following parts and components; a reference shaft (2), having two ends installed on the fixing frame (1) through bearings, wherein a reference roller (21) is fixedly fitted on the reference shaft (2); a detection shaft (3), wherein at least one floating support frame (31) having one end capable of rotating freely around the detection shaft (3) is arranged on the detection shaft (3), and a detection roller (32) and a signal generator (33) are arranged on the floating support frame (31); an elastic pressing plate (4), for pressing against the floating support frame (31) to keep an approaching trend between the detection roller (32) and the reference roller (21), wherein the elastic pressing plate (4) is composed of at least two elastic sheets; a signal sensor (5); and a data processing unit. By means of the device, system damping is provided through friction between the elastic sheets, an output signal impact peak value instantly caused by the fact that a front end of the sheet-type medium crushes into a floating support frame bearing and a power shaft meshing point at a certain speed is reduced, and the adjustment time of oscillation of an output signal is shortened.

    摘要: An apparatus (570) for forming a window in which printed characters on an item such as an envelope can be read. The apparatus (570) comprises a base member (572) fastened to a planar horizontal surface (508) and positionable intermediate a reader device (50) and an on-edge envelope. The base member (572) has an elongated vertical slot provided (576) therein. A slide member (584) has a bottom edge which includes a dimpled portion. The dimpled portion of the slide member (584) fits into the elongated vertical slot (576) of the base member (572). The base member (572) carries a block (578) which accommodates a screw (582) for selectively adjusting the position of the bottom edge of the slide member (584) relative to the base member (572). A bottom edge of the slide member (584) and a portion of the elongated vertical slot (576) below the bottom edge of the slide member (584) form a read window through which characters are readable. The slide member (584) has indicia provided thereon and is resilient so that a top portion thereof acquires an angular orientation imposed by a top of the base member (572).

    摘要: A monitoring device is used for a web roll which is rotated so as to unwind a web therefrom, for example, for making bags for a packaging machine. The speed of rotation of the web roll is detected by a revolution counter or an eye-mark sensor if the web is provided with eye-marks, and the current outer radius of the web roll is calculated from the detected speed of rotation as well as inputted data such as the length of the web required for making a bag and the number of bags being produced per unit time. The length of the web remaining in the web roll and other related data can be calculated and displayed either all at once or selectably in response to the user's instruction. An alarm signal may be outputted when the calculated outer radius of the web roll becomes small enough according to a preset criterion.
