摘要: The device and method disclosed employ a conduit with a bend and preferably a double bend intermediate its ends through which yarn is moved, as by currents of air from a vacuum pump; adjacent the bend or the upstream bend of the double bend a photoprojector and photoreceiver switch detect the presence of yarn at the shortturn of that yarn being drawn thereacross and interrupting the beam of light therebetween to detect a predetermined length of yarn whereupon the photoreceiver switch deactivates the means used to draw yarn through the conduit and thereby establishes a predetermined length of yarn. The device and method are usefully employed with yarn piecers and knotters to avoid excessive yarn wastage and to insure that sufficient yarn is provided to effect piecing or knotting.

摘要: A yarn-changing method in a warping machine having yarn-changing units is disclosed. The yarn-changing method includes steps of (a) stopping a rotary creel having a plurality of working yarn packages and preparing one of the yarn packages for color changing; (b) sucking a yarn of the original yarn package; (c) clipping the yarn of the original yarn package and delivering it to a connecting unit; (d) taking a new color-changing yarn package from a storing creel by a swing arm for changing and then delivering a yarn of the new yarn package to the connecting unit; (e) connecting the yarns of step (c) and step (d); and (f) starting the rotary creel for wrapping, thereby changing one of working yarn packages with one of new color-changing yarn packages efficiently.

摘要: A device for retrieving the end of yarn wound on a yarn-feed spool includes a system for blowing an essentially tangentially directed current of air over a rotating yarn-feed spool so that an end of the yarn wound on the yarn-feed spool can be freed from the spool. A suction nozzle is provided to capture and draw into the nozzle the end of the yarn blown free from the spool. A movable carriage system carrying at least the air current generating means and the suction nozzle is provided so that a yarn-feed spool can be approached, exposed to the air current and the freed yarn end captured by the suction nozzle. The mobile system may also carry a device for engaging the driving the yarn-feed spool in rotation. A conveyor system for moving the retrieving system over a weaving machine is also described.

摘要: A device for drawing a yarn in a slit in a package. A ring body rotates while contacting the end of a bobbin. A capture device provided on the ring body includes a pawl member. The fore end of the pawl member crosses a slit in the bobbin and extends to a portion in the vicinity of the peripheral surface of the bobbin. The ring body is rotated with the yarn from the nip point and the yarn from the slit engaged with the outer periphery thereof. The pawl member is engaged with only the yarn from the slit, due to the difference in position between the nip point and the slit. The yarn from the slit is guided by the pawl member to a capture device, where the yarn is held. The yarn positioned in the slit can be removed by the rotation of the ring body or the movement of the ring body away from the bobbin.

摘要: A method for folding paper by means of a folding machine having a folding station, wherein a portion of a paper web (9) supplied to same is firstly folded in a first stack (10) containing continuous sheets and, after reaching a threshold value of the thus-created first stack (10), moved into a stacker (15) and thus remains in contact, via a folded stacking area (12) with a further portion of the paper web (9), wherein a section of the folded stacking area (32) serves as basis for a further subsequent stack of continuous sheets to be folded thereupon. Such method is intended to be developed such that only the smallest possible loops are required. To this end, before moving the first stack (10) into the stacker (15) the folded stacking area (12) is withdrawn out of the folding station from the first already folded stack (10), the folded stacking area (12) is fed back into the folding station while the first stack (10) is moved into the stacker (15), and then the already folded stacking area (12) fed back into the folding station serves as the basis for the subsequent stack to be folded, and the process of withdrawing the folded stacking area (12) after reaching a threshold value of the subsequent stack is repeated until the whole paper web (9) supplied has finished being folded.

摘要: A method and device to seize the end of a roving, yarn or the like from a cop and carry it to a predetermined position envisages the use of an elongated hollow body wherein several ducts for feeding air or other gas are housed. The mouth of the hollow body is positioned near the end of the roving on the cop, the latter is detached and raised from the cop and subsequently sucked and/or pushed along said hollow body by means of one or more blowing and/or sucking jets. Finally, the hollow body opens to free the roving and is then removed.

摘要: Devices for detaching and winding off the exposed yarn end from a body of wound-up yarn on a bobbin by means of compressed air are disclosed, paricularly for use with automatic thread connection devices of ring spinning machines. Each device comprises a holder for a bobbin and a driving device for moving the bobbin to-and-fro in the axial direction relatively to at least three jet nozzles distributed equidistantly round the bobbin. The nozzles are set at an angle of about 45* to the bobbin axis so as to supply jets of compressed air that detach and wind off the yarn end which is received by a reception tube. The bobbin may remain displaced from the reception tube or alternatively the bobbin may be inserted in the tube, in which case the nozzle jets are directed into an annular gap between the bobbin and tube.

摘要: In order to open the start of a wadding from a wadding lap, a current of air is produced by a nozzle in the unrolling direction of the wadding lap substantially tangential of the wadding lap and with a spacing to the periphery of the wadding lap. The current of air is generated across the width of the wadding lap. In addition, a guide plate extends from the nozzle to guide the start of the wadding to a joining apparatus. The nozzle and guide plate are pivotally mounted about an axis of a lap roller to facilitate guidance of the opened start of wadding to the joining apparatus.

摘要: A weft processing apparatus includes a weft releasing device for releasing or detaching a leading end of a weft from the peripheral surface of a weft cheese, a fluid jetting device for moving the released weft leading end to a weft introducing port of a weft length-measuring and reserving apparatus, and a guide device for guiding the weft leading end and the jetted fluid stream. The weft releasing device is in the form of a blow nozzle device or a suction pipe. In the former case, the blow nozzle device serves also as the fluid jetting device. The suction pipe has an intake port provided with a holding member such as a net or brush for temporarily holding the weft in a congregated state.
