摘要:
An elevator system (8) includes a hoistway (9) having a plurality of cars (10, 11) traveling therein, the hoistway includes a steel tape (14), each car having two tape readers (20, 21; 22, 23) which feed corresponding position detectors (29, 30: 31, 32) to provide independent position signals (35, 26: 37, 38). A group controller (52) assigns calls in a fashion to avoid collisions. Controllers (45, 46) for each car communicate with each other and when deemed necessary, either lower the speed, acceleration, deceleration of one or both of the cars, or stop (with or without reversing) one or both of the cars. Independent processors (41, 42) will drop the brake (49, 50) of either or both cars if they come within a first distance of each other, or will engage the safeties (18, 19) of either or both cars if they come within a lesser distance of each other.

An elevator system includes a first elevator car (14A) supported for vertical movement in a lane (11, 13, 15, 17) of a hoistway (11). A second elevator car (14B) is configured to operate and move vertically in the lane (11, 13, 15, 17) below the first elevator car (14A) independently thereof. At least one buffering device (34) is supported on at least one of the elevator cars (14) to absorb energy upon contact between each buffering device (034) and the other elevator car (14).
摘要:
An elevator installation is provided. The installation includes a shaft in which at least two cars are arranged above one another and are movable vertically separately. Each car has a drive device and a brake device. A safety device is provided for monitoring the cars. At least one travel path limiting device is provided, comprising at least one stop element arranged on at least a first car and an associated retaining element arranged in the shaft. In a stop position, the stop element protrudes laterally from the car and interacts with the associated retaining element. All other cars movable in the shaft may pass this retaining element unobstructed. The brake device or its braking action is deactivatable if the car falls below a limit speed, and the stop and retaining elements may brake the car to a standstill at speeds up to at most the limit speed.

An elevator counterweight (24, 34) includes a buffer member (40) supported for movement with the counterweight within a hoistway (26). The buffer member (40) includes a first portion (52) that is within an outer boundary of a structure (42) of the counterweight. A second portion (54) of the buffer member (40) is beyond the outer boundary. In disclosed examples, a plurality of fillers are supported by a frame such that a first filler (60) has a first width dimension and at least one second filler (62) has a smaller width dimension. The second filler (62) can be positioned alongside the first portion (52) of the buffer member (40).
摘要:
An elevator system (20) includes multiple elevator cars (22, 32) within a hoistway (26). Counterweights (24, 34) are associated with the respective elevator cars (22, 32). Frangible buffers (40, 38) are associated with at least one of the elevator cars (22, 32), the counterweights (24, 34) or both. In a disclosed example, buffer activators (42, 39) operate to break at least a frangible portion of the frangible buffers (40, 38) to dissipate energy associated with a collision or near collision between the elevator cars (22, 32) or the counterweights (24, 34).
